Our defence would probably share the drugs they must be on with you.
Recreational drugs that is, obviously not performance enhancing.

Bizarrely I have had a funny feeling we might win this one all day. It hasn't left me yet even though kick off approaches.

Your trouble is you're always too optimistic

Any idea who the referee is?

If the answer is Dowd or Halsey, please make someone up, to make me feel better.

Mike Dean.

We just need to go all out attack and give it a right go, this is pretty much a free shot and it's an opportunity for bonus points.

That's been Lambert's tactics all season - gung-ho. It hasn't really been working that well, has it?
I'm not sure he's been that gung-ho. I'm not sure "Lambert" and "tactics" works in the same sentence without the words "doesn't have a clue about."
We've been so poor in attack. At times I'm not sure we've actually been direct and adventurous enough. Too much pondering on the ball in the middle of the pitch.
I'd like to see us using the pace of Gabby and Zoggy to break against teams better. And CB for that matter. The amount of times someone's been in a position to get a ball in and there's normally at best, 1 other person in the box.

So yet, I further vote a switch to being more gung-ho. The defence is totally fucked. I think it's easier to sort our attack so I'd concentrate on that and try and outscore teams. I felt we attacked West Ham quite effectively. We got at them and we won the game. If we really turn it on, there's no reason why we couldn't put a few past Reading and QPR.
IF.
Lambert doesn't have it in him to sort the backline, nor does he have the players. Sadly.
Attack, attack, attack!!! It is after all, the best form of defence. Isn't it?

Erm, not always. We went Attack, attack, attack!!! against Chelsea and look what happened there. It will be interesting to see what happens tonight, whether the players and more importantly, Lambert have learned anything over the last few months. We can't just play an open game and expect not to come off second best against far superior opposition. We need to make things difficult for them, get in their faces, limit the space and make the bastards work for everything.

Citeh tend to play a very patient game, stringing lots of passes together that generally lead to nothing. Give them the space and they'll rip us apart, the quality of their strikers is probably the best in the PL. Reduce the space and catch them on the break and we'll have a chance. The damage from a heavy defeat tonight could effect the rest of our season.

I'm hoping (praying) Lambert learns what is 'caution' and tonight we take advantage of the opportunities the game offers us. "Attack, attack, attack!!!" is most definitely not the way to go.
