Fortunately for us the other mad italian is still going great guns at the helm of the cash juggernaut.

Either we get battered 4 or 5 nil or its 1-1 until the 85th minute and Aguero scores a late winner

What I'm actually hoping is that QPR either win or draw, Reading lose, Wigan lose, West Ham lose and Man Utd win. Those results may give us a boost and Man Citeh a knock before our game.

Darren Bent is still struggling with a foot injury ahead of Villa's clash against Manchester City.

But there is better news for Ron Vlaar, Chris Herd and Shay Given as Paul Lambert's team prepare to take on the Barclays Premier League champions at Villa Park.

The City encounter could come too soon for Bent, who missed the weekend trip to Arsenal with a bruised foot.

Vlaar also sat out the defeat at The Emirates with a calf problem but he was set to join in training today.

The club's medical staff will monitor the Dutch defender's fitnessbetween now and Monday.

Goalkeeper Shay Given has recovered from a groin strain, while utility player Herd has resumed training after a foot injury.

"Darren is still struggling with his foot," said boss Lambert.

"Ron is doing okay at the minute and I need to monitor him and how he is going to be.

"He did a little bit yesterday. We've still got a few days to see how he progresses. We will have to wait and see.

"He would be a big miss because I think he has been playing really well of late.

"But I thought Nathan and Ciaran were exceptional against Arsenal so I don't have a problem there."

Can't see anything positive coming out of this one i'm afraid......another shit first half performance 0-2 down i'll then do one at half time and another spirited 2nd half where we score but concede another one. 3-1 to City!!!

Sorry can't see anything but!!!!

They should beat us comfortably with the players they have, but the times I've seen City recently they have looked very ropey by their standards. Admittedly I missed the Chelsea game but could it have been a different story had the pen gone in?
