Here are categories for 2011-12. P2 was the only reduced block in Upper Witton Lane.

It says frozen but 'from £325'. Does that mean P8 has gone up by £30 or is it frozen?
500 extra cheap STs in Upper Witton Lane as well. Get in quick. No good moaning later if you miss the boat.

The £295 some paid last year was a special 'earlybird offer' which it appears isn't being offered this year. The normal price in those areas was £325 last year as well, so technically it is frozen but I can see why some wont see it that way as they are forking out an extra £30.

That is not correct.  The previous cost for P8 was the same as the rest of the middle Witton Lane, approx £590 (can't remember the exact amount).  If my memory is correct they offered the tickets in P8 and elsewhere at £295 to fill seats that previously they couldn't.

So they knocked £300 off to get people to have season tickets in one area they couldn't fill?

I know that where I have my ST in the Holte Upper Wings K1, mine cost £295 because I signed up very early, can't remember the exact month, but while McLeish was still here and before we'd secured our PL safety. Then when my mate got one a month or two later, the earlybird offer was over and they reverted to the standard price of £325.

I assumed that was also what happened with the other 'Value' areas, e.g P8.

The club must think we are stupid. It is not a price freeze. The club knew they would have trouble shifting S/T so started the early bird offer 'after listening to the fans'.
To stop it after one season is bonkers.

Yes, they did.  P8 is next to the away fans and nobody seemed to want to sit there.   I know that all the seats in P8 were sold almost immediately so I'm sure nobody there paid £325.  I don't mind doing a bit of research at the Fulham game.

It's still not a price freeze if we're having to fork out another £30, early bird offer or not.

In my post on the previous page I did say I could understand people not viewing it as a price freeze if they secured the early bird offer last season.

I'm seeing it from the club's perspective and know that the standard pricing in those areas was still £325 last season for those who didn't get the earlybird offer (more of a mix between those who did/didn't in K1 than P8 by the sound of it), and I'm quite happy paying £325 as it's ridiculously cheap for Prem football should we stay up.

I had a horrible feeling that we were all assuming the £325 would apply to P8 etc but they may have reverted them to £500 odd. I have spoken to the TO and they confirm the seats are £325 and they mentioned early bird etc. I told them the advert was misleading but they won't listen. I think they expect us to go down and have charged us the extra £30 for the two additional home games, knowing we will pay it but daren't risk it with the more expensive seats.

Aren't there 4 extra home games in the championship?

I should hope so being as there's 24 teams.

I was questioning dc5's comment about the 2 extra home games if we go down .
I will be quite happy with just the 19 home games :D

So why pull the early bird after one season when they made such a big play of it last season.
It smacks of TSM is still manager do something quick.

The early bird would have been a good idea again considering we don't know for definate what league we'll be in. Mind you like Hoyle said earlier, £325 in that part of the ground is very very good.

I guess with this offer until may 31 that some people will  wait and see which division we are in if they don't wish to commit yet and still be able to use the 9 month payment if they so desire.

They should do more to reward the loyal supporters and to encourage new ones.
