Thing is if we were winning say 9 home games a year playing like West Ham or Stoke then within a year or so the complaints would start wanting more wins and better football. As fans we also want more and better.

Personally, while winning is the most important thing,I think i'd slowly lose the will to live if I had to watch Pulis/Allardyce football every week. And even it meant no relegation battle i'd know it would never never lead to more than mid-table mediocrity. At least if we stay up this year I have hope that the players will improve, gain more confidence etc and we'll see more of the great stuff we've seen in patches this season.

I don't care about entertainment for the remainder of the season, I only care about results and us surviving in the league. In the long run obviously entertainment is important and I want us to play passing football.

Mr Allardyce, Aston Villa contributed 2 goals, one of which was a stunner, while your hapless outfit managed a lucky goal via a deflection off a Villa player.

Your "tactics" for this match consisted of one up front and hope for the best. Strange when you consider you playing the worst defence in the league. You came for a draw and got what you deserved.

You also have a comically fat head.

Even in the niggly, petty minded, spiteful world that football has become, Allardyce's post match comments were particularly graceless.

Special mention to Bent. That goal line clearance could be invaluable come the end of the season. Felt it worth a mention as i've given him stick in the past so credit where it's due.

Seconded by another critic. Work-rate was there, won the free-kick we scored from as well

Well after the loss of both my parents over Christmas, I now have a tiny tear in my eye and a small smile to match.

Thankyou Aston Villa

Bloody hell, that's tough. My deepest sympathies for you,

Not half! I've lost a lot of respect for Allardyce today. There's no need to disrespect us like that, it's fair enough being a bit annoyed at losing but most managers manage to keep themselves in check in the post match interviews and not act like a kid who just lost a game of fifa.

That's ace. Right at the end you hear the hysterical laughter of a fan who just can't quick believe it. Wonderful stuff.

Sorry.  That was simply a terrible game between two very very poor teams.  We will be lucky to play against a team as bad as WHU in what remains of the season.  We are going down.

Well you may get your wish but the rest of us are hoping we stay up.

Positives
1. The result
2. Delph continues to improve
3. N'Zog continues to create in maybe not his best game
4. Guzan was excellent, especially coming out to claim high balls
5. Gabby to come back will improve things

Negatives
1. Vlaar continues to be a worry - no leadership, not dominant at all
2. No composure in the last 10 mins - central midfielders went absent
3. Bowery - WTF was he doing on the pitch? He was so far out of his depth it was embarrassment.
4. Benteke's continuous offsides break up the impetus of our play and allowed WetSpam to launch high balls back into the heart of our defence
5. Stupid foul/booking from Baker - mistakes like that meant they were allowed to keep building the pressure.

Fuck me I loved that win, even if I did have to change my trousers on the way home, and it wasn't from the rain!

Pissed yourself again?
