Proof positive that the Premier League is the best in the world, brilliant first half from two superb teams. Can't wait for the second half.

Aren't you watching the Villa game, Chris?

Just seen the miss . I still jumped in the air expecting the ball to hit the  back of the net .

How is Delph still playing over Sylla? I've never seen Sylla play but I bet he knows how to tackle, pass, run and position yourself correctly.

You're having a laugh. Delph has been running the midfield.

Well I've just laughed at your comment, so I suppose I am.

His tackling is laughable, and that's when he does tackle. Certainly people round me don't think much either.

Agreed, Delph has been our best and most urgent performer. Lowton follows closely.

I agree that Delph is playing okay but my gripe about him - and the rest of our midfield as well frankly - is that what he does, while decent enough, is usually pretty ineffectual.
Well, we have what we have and cannot change it for another 5 months. So, you can gripe all you want!

How are West Ham 10 (?) points better off than us. Worst team at Villa this season?

Thing is, when tries too hard to tackle he gets penalised. So, I'm pleased that he's wound himself in a little.

Weimann looks like he's still dwelling on it.

Wouldn't say Delph is running the game, but he is our most effective midfielder today.

Yes.  Can I agree with you wholeheartedly, doubling as an olive branch? (Gabby's flu was widely broadcast, to be fair.)
