An African Car Reverser statue is EXACTLY what we need in these testing times. Witton island is the perfect location for such a tribute.

Agree.  Facing backwards.  Perhaps doing a Michael Jackson moonwalk up Witton Lane.  Fantastic idea.  The only two statues we would have would be the Father of the Football League and a ghost.

Only came to this thread as I thought African Car Reverser had dropped a new album of lockdown classics. Very disappointed.

Is the first post here the first reference to ACR? Thought it was a fictive signing from way before on here?

Yes it was.  This was when ACR was born.

You man be thinking of Ninguém who was the fictitious signing from Portugal

TACR is very, very rarely seen.  The proof of his existence is in what he does. He threw a cabbage at Steve Bruce.  He put in the fix that prevented the Sheffield United goal.

I cannot believe this originated seven years ago.  Seems like only yesterday.

Did anyone see that mad idiot try and reverse his car through hundreds of people straight after the game at the junction of the trinity road and the north stand. He nearly went into several people walking past, some guys had words with him and you could tell he was an African bloke when he was arguing back.

He was well out of order, why he was trying to move through a bottle neck of fans straight after the game I don't know? He could of seriously injured a lot of people.
Was it Nakamba?

Which came first, ACR, the orange dot or fish pie ?

I know that they all came after Owls versus Gibbons

Orange Dot was mid-00s or close enough to it. Dont remember the fish pie refs.

Does this thread creator, Andy AndyAston post here anymore? I guess you're never gonna top what he started this thread with so it would be understandable if he had retired.

Fish Pie was 2012, people doubted its magic so I refused to have one for a game, which was the 8-0 at Chelsea.
