Now I've got Toto in my head:

"I reversed my car, down in Africa..."

That song seemed to be on Top of the Pops every week for decades when it was released. And I hated it.

African Car Reverser was the difficult second album by Smiley Culture (RIP)

Any more albums will certainly be exceedingly difficult.

James Corden would certianly do an excellent job of promoting ACR in his merry-blokey-fuckwittery-voice.

Hail fellow well ate.

The thread title is an anagram of Aston Villa (if you pretend there's a T, O and two L's in it, which there aren't. You'd also have to drop a couple of letters too).

What cars do they make in Africa anyway?

Not sure, but I know they had a Nissan Main Dealer in South Africa.

I looked at the thread title & thought for a split second it was going to be about the size of Gareth Barry's arse and why he didn't take the penalty.

If you jumble up all the letters and reform them into the REAL words, it is!
Conspiracy!

Boring I know by this thread's standards but going back to my intention to buy a two year old at the spring sales.  If I am to try to sneak the name African Car Reverser past the BHA I must obviously concentrate on the progeny of Reams of Verse.  Put the first two letters with the last five letters. All I need then is to find a place in Africa called Samfo or Masof and it becomes heap powerful medicine.

They don't make them  they have them delivered in containers straight from people's drives in UK.

Mofam river lodge is in South Africa!

I know. I can't sleep and have been googling various spellings; that's the nearest so far. If you add the s it sounds as if the horse is refusing - Mofam Reverses :)

Most of the major manufacturers have plants in South Africa, including Ford, Merc, BMW, VW, Toyota.

Thanks Lou. All coming together.  Reverses can be good.  A horse is often said to reverse the form when it turns the tables on previous opposition.
