Your choices tomorrow

Just for fun.... You have 8 million and no more than 120k in wages total to spread.

Name the players you would buy on deadline day to save the Villa. Nothing to do with links etc, just who you would buy.

Diame and Hangeland. That would probably eat up all the 8m and the wages but I think that would give us a spine and a fighting chance.

I'd use the 8m to pay off Lambert and spend whatever's left on a farewell/you've sent us down party/wake

Diame -£3.5 million 60k a week
Hangeland -£2 million 50k a week
NRC -free 20k a week
Rises - £1.5 Million 20k a week

Diame would need bigger wages to attract so the £1million left over can top up his wages.

All depends on how far Dunne is off fitness. If he's back within a couple of weeks I'd scratch the idea of a new centre back and go for Diame, Riise if cheap, with Huddlestone on a 6 month loan (with injury clause).

Would love to tempt a world class fading star on loan to give the place a lift (a la Dugarry at the noses all those years ago) and add a bit of nous. Couldn't name names though.

Still think its all futile tbh. 8 million is nowhere near enough.
