Daft bunch of racists.
Change the record Ads !

Everton are white!
Everton are white!
Everton are white!

We are just so bland compared to that kind of identity that would make Leeds blush.

Like the Holte never abused "the Three degrees" under Big Ron - Racism has reared its ugly head all across the UK at some time in the past.
I have lived here 17 years now and have not come across blatant racists or bigots in all that time.
From my recollection you seem to have a downer on Liverpool and all things Merseyside - your perogative I guess but it is a shame you are so blinkered.
Racism can be a two way street - for example when my lad and I attended  the next generation game against Ajax at Villa Park a car drove past us both and a bottle was thrown at my 11 year old - there were four or five young lads of Asian descent in the car - they hurled racist abuse at a poor defenceless lad - does that make all people of asian descent living in Birmingham racists ? Of course it doesn`t - by the same token because people on Merseyside chanted insults some 30 years ago doesn`t mean all Evertonians are racist.

Who was it that said the only people who don't like Liverpool are football supporters?

I have not missed a Villa game at Goodison Park for 40 years and have never had a problem with them.

And according to WMP we've sold 1,139 tickets.
That's quite a low turnout isn't it

It is, we didn't take many last year either, we only had the bottom tier. I don't think anyone will struggle to get away tickets for the rest of the year

I was in Bootle the other day. I can't remember anything about it at all.

Bootle is just one long, depressing street past the docks into Liverpool. I quite often drive that way when I go to get the ferry home from the in-laws, and it really is brain-numbingly rough.

It's the 20th anniversary of James Bulger's murder (after being abducted from Bootle Strand shopping centre) this month.

Difference is Everton prided themselves on their 'all white' team selections as recently as the mid 90's.

The early 80's were a grim period in English football, but Villa were better than most in that regard  (on the pitch, if not always in the stands).   Slowly, with the influx of black players in the game and the decline of hooliganism, more black and Asian fans felt welcome at most English grounds.  Not so Goodison.

Even as recently as 2008,  their fans took great delight in mocking our black players. One of their disabled lot really had it in for Ashley Young IIRC.  One of the weirdest things I've ever seen in football, a  bloke in a wheelchair giving it the full Bernard Manning.

After a couple of weeks of feeling very down about our situation, I'm feeling defiant this morning.  I've even watched this to get me in the mood:

It's worked.  I reckon we'll get a 1-1 draw today with Benteke getting our goal.

Greetings from Warrington. I was meant to be doing some work near Anfield this morning but its been called off. Therefore, I'll have a look round the Albert Dock area before heading to Goodison. I've never given myself time to explore Liverpool before

Best wishes to our small group of travelling fans today. You are the very definition of commitment (or insanity) ;-)
Would like to have been there myself but have been reigned in today and need a few brownie points.
Up the Villa !
