We have a scouser talking about how we handle the Petrov situation? Cancelling the rest of last seasons fixtures and black armbands all this season would be their way. And calling us 'an appendix of England'. If ever there was an appendix of England it's them.

It's always the same. They go on about history then forever try to belittle the one (the only?) club who have as much as they do, showing their own ignorance in the process.

Luckily not all Everton supporters feel the same: www.bluekipper.com/club/31-history/3670-the_original_william_mcgregor.html There was also a piece that I can't find by a member of their Historical Society which said that without his insistence that they rather than Bootle be in the original league, Everton wouldn't exist and how they should remember that.

Lineker will no doubt be pointing out yet again that this is one of the oldest fixture in the Football League (the oldest?) but wondering whether it will be happening next season.

I have a bad feeling about this one, to be honest can't remember having a good feeling about any recent games.

Everton 3 Aston Villa 1 - The toffee's winning comfortably

What exactly are Everton F.C's redeeming features anyway?

Not being Liverpool?

We can't match being the second biggest club in our own city.

The way the surrounding neighbourhood paint the brickwork on their houses is a feature that's for sure.

Everton can fuck off.  All of 'em - they're in the way of us and 3 points so let's have it!

Thank Chico, I knew he always said something along those lines.  How many times are we ahead of the second most played so it will set us a target of how long we can stay down?

"The lad will come in and give us something we don't have - a bit of steel there."

What about a bit of steel in defence or perhaps you haven't seen all the goals we have conceded?

or a corrugated fence nailed to the cross bar and both posts please.

Let's not forget Everton have had their fair share of ups and downs - one season relying on the dodgy goalkeeping of Hans Segers to keep them up on the very last day.  Hopefully things won't be as desperate for us and we'll have scrapped our way to safety well before the final day.

On another note, it's ironic that their jibes come from a website called, "A Grand Old Team" when we are both older and far grander than Everton could ever wish to be.

I think If some one out there can put something in Baines and Fellani's food tonight and make them ill for tomorrow , we would have a bloody good chance .  Top players those two.

I don't have anything against Everton.  But then I don't have anything against most clubs.  Except Leicester.

I plead the Acker Dictum. "There's 92 clubs. An' I 'ate 91 of 'em."
