4231 for me (I've said enough times this season that it's probably boring:

Guzan
Lowton Vlaar Clark Baker
Sylla Westwood
Weimann Bannan Dawkins
Benteke

Start with the back 4 fairly flat and the 3 slightly deeper covering the midfield, take the sting out of it early on, we need to keep a clean sheet for as long as possible, a draw away at Everton would be a good result so we don't need any gung-ho 5-6 up front nonsense, getting the defenders confident they are fit for purpose is the important thing in this one, get at least a point.  We need to build from the back a little and get them believing we can stay in this league.

Zog instead of Messi for me

I've picked the 3 like that for the reason that Nzogbia doesn't seem to like to play wide so I think Dawkins is more likely to offer us width.  I've then picked Bannan to start centrally because I think he'll work harder to get us into the game and,  more importantly, nzogbia is more of a threat to come off the bench and change the game.

Everton win. We might have a good half I suppose.

Forgone conclusion really, just depends how many Everton want to score.

Fellaini hasn’t scored for ages so he will get at least a couple, again Jelavic hasn’t scored for ages so he will come off the bench to score. Then we have the added attraction of Leighton Baines tearing us to pieces down our right-hand side, exactly the same as he did against us at home. Will Lambchop have devised a cunning master plan to counteract this threat?

Oh joys, it has to be at least 4-1 probably more!

It's got to be 4-2-3-1 for this. Considering we need more presence in the middle I would play Sylla and Westwood with KEA slightly more advanced of them. Gabby and NZog wide of Tekkers

FOOTBALL
Aston Villa newcomers Yacouba Sylla and Simon Dawkins have been included in the squad for tomorrow's trip to Everton.

Midfielder Sylla was signed from French Ligue 2 side Clermont Foot, while winger Dawkins has joined on loan from Tottenham.

We're saved!! What a kick in the teeth for Everton, having to play us just after the re-inforcements we need to stay up arrived.

Score draw. A point for us. Now I'm off to check the fixtures to see how the other mobs around us will do.

3-1 to Everton.  They'll be far too strong for us at Goodison i'm afraid.

They haven't done the double over us since our last relegation season.

Team looks as good as it can get to me.

He has to play with 4 at the back v Everton surely. They usually play with one up front with the goal threats coming from midfield through Fellaini, Pienaar and Osman.

Put Sylla man to man on Fellaini, we will soon find out if he can cut it at this level.

I can't see anything but an Everton win though.

I'm normally a hugely pessimistic person, I'm always told that by my brother and my fiance.

I have no idea why, maybe it's that first half against West Brom and that second half against Newcastle but I still don't think we will go down. We cannot keep on losing, we are hugely, understandably, low on confidence but just imagine what a victory will do for that confidence.

The pressure is far less away from home and N'Zogbia and Weimann will tear them to pieces.

We will not lose this game,(I've only said that once this season and that was Swansea away), we will surprise everyone with how well we play and come out with all 3 points.

One thing I am very concerned about V Everton is how vulnerable we will be from set pieces. With Baines they have one of the best deliveries around.

This is true. Sylla better be huge.
