The game will either be this:

Villa on top in an encouraging first half where we rip their defence a new 'un and take a deserved lead. Second half sees us pulled back in the first 5 minutes through poor marking at a corner. We go on to lose 3-1. Never in it second half and look disjointed. We resort to the Benteke hoof.

Or this:

Dreadfully slow start sees us 2 down at half-time through poor marking at a corner and the lack of confidence sees Everton adding a second. Although pushing for a third before the break it doesn't come. Second-half Villa rally and pull one back on 67mins. On 70 mins Everton score on the break. A last ditch tackle leads to a corner. Goal. After that we hoof it to Benteke.

Was thinking about jumping on the boat and going over for this.  Not any more though, the club can go fuck itself.

Everton 5 Villa 0

Felliani will score all 5, from winning headers in the 6 yard box after one of their hairy arsed CB's win the first header from a corner.

If we get out of relegation now it will be by winning some games nobody expects us to...

Therefore 2-0 Villa, goal in each half.

4231 for me (I've said enough times this season that it's probably boring:

Guzan
Lowton Vlaar Clark Baker
Sylla Westwood
Weimann Bannan Dawkins
Benteke

Start with the back 4 fairly flat and the 3 slightly deeper covering the midfield, take the sting out of it early on, we need to keep a clean sheet for as long as possible, a draw away at Everton would be a good result so we don't need any gung-ho 5-6 up front nonsense, getting the defenders confident they are fit for purpose is the important thing in this one, get at least a point.  We need to build from the back a little and get them believing we can stay in this league.

I'd be happy with that except i'd play N'Zogbia instead of Dawkins. Charles has started to show a bit of form of late and he's looked more up for it.

This (with Charlie) for me too, unless Dunne is fit.
Can't seee beyond a defeat though, and a point off the bottom by the end of the day.

For the first ten minutes, we will defend like schoolboys. We'll look like children chasing the ball around in the playground every time the ball comes into our box.

We will then slowly get into the game, and on 45 minutes, we'll have done pretty well. We won't be losing, we may even be winning.

We'll come out for the second half, and it'll be like they've all been necking valium in the dressing room. We'll look as woeful as we ever do.

Somehow, we will hold on till 75 minutes or so, at which point, the inevitable will happen, Fellaini will score from a corner, and that will be that. Everton will then score once more, the result of terrible defending, and it's null points again.

After the match, Lambert will say he has no complaints about the players, they gave everything, we gave it "a right good go" in the first half (ignoring the second half).

That evening, on here, the arguments will rage about why we should bin Lambert now, or why we should have weeks ago, but there will be the new element of "we didn't strengthen when we had the chance" thrown in.

Less than 10 percent of us will watch Match of the Day that evening.
