I will be doing my best impression of a smug bastard after we are safe, likely following Wigan's failure to beat Swansea and will enjoy telling the doom mongers that they have been talking bollocks yet again.

Then I will moan like mad about the first half of the season being rubbish and bluster about how this is beneath us.

I'll just remember Bradford tbh (shudders).

Stay up or go down, I think in a couple of years time I will remember that this season was just three minutes against Stoke and nothing more.

I've just plotted an escape from relegation. We win all our remaining fixtures. Sorted.

Where do nodding dogs fit into this scheme?

Waiting to smell the coffee and have the blinkers removed.

They'll only manage that if they get a grip first.

We're fucked. It's us or Wigan and we play them away on the last day and they always get out of it. Despite the generally better form since Feb, it will prove to be too little too late.

And somebody has to wake them up first.

Just like Coventry and Southampton used to 'always get out of it'.

Actually, if we keep up the recent form from Everton away onwrads, then I think that'll be more than enough to keep us up.

It's us or Wigan, really? OK, best tell Stoke, Newcastle and S-land that then, they have been ever so worried.

It is I'm afraid .We are the only ones Wigan can realistically overturn unless one of the other teams mentioned go on a disastrous run of form.Unfortunately the ones you mention have just got about enough to pull themselves over the line along with Norwich, whereas we have shot ourselves in the foot time after time and never managed to pull away. It's going to the wire and I'm dreading it

I would agree if we had about 10 matches left. I just feel that we left it too late to achieve a decent run of form. Down on GD for me.

While if Wigan keep up theres, i.e., less than a point per game, then we will be safe some time in between Norwich and Chelsea.

Ah? You do realise we're ahead of Wigan don't you? So by your logic (i.e. the logic that you have been coming out with incorrectly for three seasons now) Wigan are already down and we're safe.

VillaAlways; by 10:00pm next Monday there could well be four teams on 37 points all six clear of Wigan. Sunderland, Stoke and Newcastle are not out of it by any means.

how about I attend all Wigan's fixtures and wail like a banshee at crucial moments?
