Fantastic result today - means we are now 2 points ahead of my initial projection.  Of  my first 6 projections I have 5 out of 6 correct, the one failing being the Reading game where we won rather than drew.

Even though it's only me updating - here we go.

We are 3 points ahead of my initial projection at this stage.  I had us to have 30 points and we are on 33 with some winnable games ahead too.  Surely we can't screw this up - or can we?

Absolutely no time for complacency. But 7 more points - 2 more wins and a draw / 1 more win and 3 draw should definitely do it, even with our g/d. Can we get those results against:
- Fulham (h)
- Sunderland (h)
- Norwich (a)
- Wigan (a)
- Chelsea (h)
- Man U (a)

Absolutely. I fancy us to win at least one of our easier two home games, maybe drawing the other (4 points). And I really think we can win at Norwich too, we certainly shouldn't lose I hope. I reckon we can win 2 of those 3 games, drawing the other, and hopefully we'll be pretty much safe by the Chelsea game.

We haven't lost against a team outside of the big 6-7 clubs since January so we're in good shape. It'd be nice to have a more comfortable win though!

is it almost as simple as one win plus beating Sunderland to stay up now, leaving them needing 8 from their othrr games which will be very tough?

I reckon Fulham might take a kicking. We generally do pretty well against them at VP, and they don't travel well. Feeling a little giddy, so I'll go for 4-1, and with points against Sunderland, Norwich and Wigan we'll be safe. If things go to plan Sunderland or Stoke will be the omes shitting it as we are playing out our last game at Wigan.

Fulham look good, so I reckon that might be a draw, followed by a defeat v Man U. But then back to back wins v Norwich and Sunderland should pretty much see us safe.

I think the Man U game could be quite entertaining actually. But even if we're 2-0 with a minute to go, you know we'll lose.

That's my thinking.

Before we totally discount Fulham, it's worth noting that they recently travelled to Spurs and won.

They did, but Spurs were truly awful that day. Or should I say Bale had an off day. Overall their record has been poor on the road and they've conceded quite a few goals.

I thought that went without saying.

I get us to 40, Wigan 37 and Sunderland 39 going into the last weekend (with us having the worst goal difference)
