Between them, messrs Houllier, McLeish and Lambert are gradually weening me off football

Me too.

Fuck sake, villa usually have one bad season every four or five years, not three in a row.

What I wouldn't give for a few years of mid table mediocrity.

This clueless so called manager has managed in the last few weeks to lose to all 3 clubs around us in the relegation zone, all at home with just a lone goal to show for it and even that was a penalty. He has managed to get knocked out of both cups to teams in lower leagues and STILL he keeps his job .How ? We deserve to be relegated and that is surely we are headed

Vote of confidence in PL... Waste of f--king ink. One tw-t supporting another tw-t. Hearts and spirits been ripped out of squad by mcterminater and now this useless tosser. Clearly couldn't organise sh-t in a sewer! Not goin down again til that tw-t has gone. Get some f-ckin spine in the squad. The experiment has not and won't work and for all the moments of posession if we cant bury chances it counts for f-ck all. We look like a joke on set pieces and an easy 3 points home and away. Worse goal difference in premier league (-26) says it all...can't score and soft at back. F-ckin nightmare!

Looking around at the teams near us.

Wigan are beginning to fight and have been here before.
Newcastle are only going one way by the looks of it with all their new players.
QPR, certainly improving.
Even Reading have shown fight recently.

It's extremely worrying.

And we keep losing to the teams near to us at home.  It's utterly unacceptable.

Lerner has left us. This idea of us losing loads of money if we're relegated is not so simple. Most of the Sky money goes on wages. Go into the Championship, lose the wages and its much the same if you're just worried about the money. And in truth, much as it makes me really angry, another bit of me thinks that he did put in £200,000,000 into the club and there has to come a time when you say bollocks to it, tattoo on your ankle or not.

Lerner is so stupid, he needs protecting from himself.

I used to think he was a well meaning idiot, but now I don't even think he's well-meaning.

It takes a special type of moron to spend £200m getting us *exactly* where we were when Doug sold up.

Bravo, Lerner, bravo.
Fair point well made.  Except Randy don't give a shit anymore, Doug for all his faults does.

Absolute stupidity with tactics in the fist half. We were asking to get striped.

Surely in the second half we played 4-3-3/4-5-1 with Gabby and Weimann out wide, rather than 4-4-2. It may have been the dodgy stream I wasn't watching.

We played very well after the half time change. That's the real annoying thing. We lost three points to a team we could have wiped the floor with had we started with the right tactics.

If we dump 3 at the back and play with the same purpose and threat we had in minutes 45-70 we stand a very good chance of staying up. Especially if we actually get a decent midfielder or two in place in the next couple of days.

The only criticism I could have of the second 45 was that we resorted to loading it into the box a bit early.

The tackle on Weimann should have been a penalty. What a difference that would have made.
Shit cliche but when your down you get fuckall going your way. I am still confident that we will get out of this mess. I may need medication, but i am still confident. Destraught at half time but felt better later, even though we lost. We will get something from the Everton game........ Pills please nurse, oh, and can you pass me that jacket with the shiny buckles on the back ? Mmmmm, that feels better.

Im sure we will bring players in but this farcical risk of waiting till the last minute has cost us far too many points.
Lambert will not get sacked and i think we will go down - yet again his tactics and selection, formation was wrong but we are are fucked im afraid.
He should have gone after the saints game - we know now that lerner will stand by him whatever and so our situation is hopeless.

Shocking and sad times at this great club and may those to blame hold their heads in shame.

Thing is looking at other results is largely irrelevant, we lose all the time. The other results don't matter.

I don't know what to do now. Go to bed, stay up posting guff on here, watch crap on tele, have a beer, listen to some more Napalm Death?

I feel numb, as if we've been relegated today.
Beer and Napalm Death, loud as fuck.

Fuck it why not

Count me in, I'll bring my peel sessions with you suffer on, if you'll have me?

The more the merrier mate!

Napalm Death are definitely an acquired taste!

The scary thing is that if we go down, our ability to bounce back will probably still be in the hands of a manager who looks tactically and motivationally clueless and an owner whose intelligence is inversely proportionate to his wealth.

This is no over reaction, but I think we'll finish bottom this season. We're going backwards fast. Everyone else is fighting, picking up points. QPR have taken points off Man City, Spurs, Chelsea in their last few games, Reading won their last two from nowhere, Wigan did well tonight from 2-0 down and know how to handle this pressure, this position.

Fuck me, fuck me sideways with a rusty combine harvester. The same mistakes, (go) again and again. Why the fuck can he not see this? Lambert and his nonchalance makes me want to puke shit all over myself.
