I hope Lambert gives them the bollocking of their lives after that, sadly I doubt he is even capable.

Poor Brian sounds in pain.

Bring him and JG back as team, they made the best Villa team in recent years.

I don't get it.

It looks like we've genuinely decided on some year zero policy where we have to get relegated.

That is absolute, absolute fucking gash, and it's getting worse.

If we are going to try to stay up, then I absolutely refuse to believe anybody thinks that squad is strong enough. It's beyond pathetic.

Week after week, no midfield, and we have no options there. Look at the effect Sissoko has had on Newcastle, then look at our predictable seen-it-twenty-times-this-season powder puff midfield.

After this latest debacle surely we will bring a couple of players in by end of window it's football suicide not too.

Lerner doesn't care.

Too late anyway I would think.

The problem is that we have contrived a system here where we not only have no width, we actually have no centre either. We have at least one player hanging around like a spare prick at each end by picking 3 centre backs and two strikers. Given how clear it was what Newcastle were going to do with their midfield, to basically play without any players in the middle third is, I'm afraid, the worst tactical decision possible.

Absolutely spot on.

Indeed. And tactics is Lambert's strength.

On the plus side i'm enjoying Cabin in the Woods. A brief skim of this thread looks like I made the right decision to ignore us as much s possible.

The fans are far too tolerant for me. They need to be booing the shit out the club.

Agreed. I'm flying over for West Ham and I intend joining anything that's organised to get the message across to Randy.

Who will fight for the soul of Aston Villa if the fans won't? It won't be Faulkner, Lerner or any of the players.

We have the most inept manager in the Premiership with the most crap team.

Why would Weimann if he's any ambition sign a new contract at B6?

I dont think we will. Even if we do they will not be good enough. We have an opportunity to sign Sissoko based on reports (which may not be true!) and look at the impact he would have had on our team.

Wave the white flag, and say hello to the championship.
