A midfield of Clark, Westwood & Ireland seems the most well-balanced on paper, I'd have to agree. Especially if Ireland could find some sort of form.

Who else do you pick in the centre of midfield though? With KEA and Delph out your down to the two picked and Ireland.
a 3 man midfield of Clark, Westwood and Ireland is what I'd have gone for.

Me too.

And me.

Lambert doesn't see Clark as a MF though - said it in that pre-season forum thing, quite insistently, "he's no midfielder".

He sure as heck is no defender, so you might as well try him in the midfield...

He has played on midfield and looked decent enough- lambert is too stubborn !

Gary Lineker's tweets littering the BBC update feed. Didn't he make a song and dance about leaving Twitter a couple of weeks ago? Worra twit.

I had been following his son until he started to clog up my feed then, the clincher, began slagging off the villa. Unfollowed him about three weeks ago.

Forgive my ignorance but why would you follow his son?

I have no idea, Lineker senior retweeted him a few times and his tweets seemed interesting so I must have started following him.

Feeling sick. Can't decide if it's the bug i've got or because of the Villa. Come on lads, win for fecks sake. Even if it's just to spite me because i'm not there.

Ireland has been half arsed and shit...

Clark I agree, should be in the midfield.

So if we win, do you promise to be sick every matchday?

5-2-1-2??

Only 2 midfielders yet again and neither are ball winners.

I'm optimistic before every game but it's the same old mistake from Lambert.

Not sure my devotion to the Villa goes that far! Be sods law if we win. I missed Reading earlier in the season so have seen us win 2 league at home in nearly 15 months.
