What the Jawdees are too thick to realise is that whoever they were playing would have taken the piss and enjoyed it. Like Sunderland taking the piss out of Utd when City won the league. No one else would have come up with the "Messiah" banner though.

They still think it was just us. They haven't worked out that the entire world laughed when they went down, and why.

Come on Villa , but as for the half wit who expects the crowd to not get iffy if we dont do it, get real pal, this has been going on for to long, time for men to be men and the crowd to react if they play like a load of pussys, the supporters dont get 30 k a week for being shit.
A poor performance tonight and the crowd will turn, sure of that.

This is true, when they gubbed us under Kevin Mac, our sole Geordie at work took great pride in telling me 'that was for relegating us you c**t'

I think their team had a bit more to do with it than we did.

Great, just woke up after falling asleep for a few hours. Feel like death warmed up. So doubt i'll be going tonight. So there's 2 season tickets not getting used as spoke to my sister and she's feeling even worse than I am.

Now i'm off to heat up some soup and lie on the sofa feeling sorry for myself *sniff*

Get yourself to the game, think of the number of people you could infect!

For some reason the Toon Army really don't like us. It may have something to do with this:

Here's hoping we give them even more reason to hate us after tonight.

Is it not about time they got over themselves about this. Jesus. Have they not heard of banter? Do they not ever take the piss out of opposing teams? Anyone would think it was the worst thing that had ever happened to them in their history or something.

It's not like we single handedly relegated them, they were shite all season long.  Best banner on the Holte for donkeys years that day mind.

Who's Your Next Messiah, Ant Or Dec?  Brilliant.

Indeed. What upset them so much was how we so superbly and royally took the piss. That youtube clip is still one of my favourite Villa videos.

I am quite happy to go along with it though, that day was great.

Wasn't that the farewell to Martin Laursen also?

Which halfwit do you so eloquently refer to? If it's me I'm merely stating that its counter-productive during the game.

It was a struggle to leave the house with pissing rain on the way in but I am on the train. Don't fuck it up Villa.

As for a previous post about Laursen, one of my most enjoyable piss up nights ever involved him.

I had enough on board to sink a battleship after the Blues 5-1 game and was a rather delicate flower at work the next day.

Come the end of that horrible Monday, there was nothing else for it but a quick couple so I didn't feel like death any more.

The first pint took an age to get through. I picked up slightly late on the second and at least felt human when heading for home.

I was in The Arcadian and nipped to the cashpoint in preparation for take out Chinese on the way back when I got off the train.

Unfortunately/Fortunately, I saw 3 chaps wander through the front gates of it and into Sobar whilst I was collecting my pennies.

Scandinavian to a man. One blonde, one with a Viking beard and one who Pauline (Villajk) tried to look at his tackle on the train once. I give you Laursen, Mellberg and Carew, out for a drink on their day off.

It felt wrong not to pop in and offer my congratulations. And drinks. On me. Whatever they wanted, frankly, after the result the day before.

I spent nigh on 2 hours with them, was allowed to only buy one round and had the most starstruck experience of my life when it comes to football.

I did come back quite pissed mind. Which upset the wife who hadn't recovered from my singing in my sleep the night before with the John Carew song.

I wouldn't give up that evening for any marital grief though.
