KEA.

He doesnt get back until tomorrow does he - jetlag, plus not very good.( being kind)
We need two new midfielders this week., and a defender.

Once again, You don't get jet lag from friggin South Africa!

He'll probably get DVT knowing our luck

No chance we'll see KEA tommorrow.

Will probably resurface at Everton if he hasn't gone for a jolly in Casablanca or got malaria.

Has Karim been paired with Westwood yet? If Bannan sees playing time I think I'll go insane. I used to be so high on him but of late he just does not deserve to be on the pitch, and I don't mean to heap all of the misery on to him because I know many supporters have given up, but I just don't think this is the game for him, at all.

Ah, yes, the old "play 12 men" tactic.

Ah, yes, the old "play 12 men" tactic.

Is there a loophole in The Laws whereby we can play two 'keepers? Failing that, go 4-6-0 and get a 0-0. Gamechanger, risk Benteke if KEA plays

One interesting statistic is that Newcastle have conceded as many late goals(a total of 9 in the last ten minutes) as we have this season. Now, this may not be a great thing in itself as fellow joint-leaders of this late-concessions league are Spuds and Smethwick, and we all know how well we did against them. However, they could be mentally fragile, and if we use the crowd, get in their faces a la Liverpool and how Norwich played last season we could cause them problems.

My team would be: Guzan; Lowton (needs a break, but hey ho); Vlaar, Dunne/Clark (fitness judgement call); Baker/Clark/Stevens (depends on fitness of various players - Bennett needs to be kept away); Westwood, KEA/Delph/Ireland, Bannan (midfield three, it could help overcome our midfielders' deficiencies by giving them a bit of safety in numbers); Zog, Weimann (license to roam); Benteke (still our biggest threat).

4-3-3, basically, because Par-Dieu has a weird addiction to 4-4-2, and I don't care if you have Cabaye and Sissoko, you can get outnumbered if your tactics are retrograde. Give Weimann and Zog a bit of creative license and keep Gabby and Bennett (and, if possible, Clark) out, they all look like they hate football.

I don't think Dunne and Vlaar (Vlunne) would concede the twelve goals of Christmas like their understudies have. No chance. Both have their faults, but together, along with Guzan's still-rock-solid hands, they could galvanise the whole team.

Dunne if available. Can't get any worse.

Thanks for calling me out, by the way.

I've woken up a bit more positive about this one.  If Dunne is back I fancy us to keep on or two more clean sheets and we do have a goal in us.

Win tonight and the gloom *might* lift enough for us to pull clear.

I woke up reading that Sissoko will start for them, and as we apparently tried to sign him, he will score against us. So we need at least 2 goals our selves.

We'll play well in stages before succumbing to the inevitable defeat by at least two goals.

Of course, football has the propensity to surprise so we may get a morale boosting three points. But I don't see it.

First half ours 2-0 second half theirs FT 2-2 I can't see them beating us BUT it will be in the back of their minds that we sent them down a few seasons ago!!!

Pardew is as clueless as PL when it comes to the crunch no back up plan what so ever....
