1-0 defeat with Newcastle scoring a free header from a corner

You make it sound predictable. Like it will be Sissoko that scores.

I'll go for a nervous 1-1 draw

Early goal for Benteke and late equaliser for them from some Frenchie

I'd line up with Guzan/Lowton Bennett Vlaar Dunne/Westwood Delph Holman/N'Zogbia Bent Benteke

Newcastle are ONE entire point ahead of us, and have lost seven of their last ten games.

We have taken 10 points from the last 30. Newcastle have taken 7.

They also have not won a single away match this season.

They've strengthened well in this window, but that doesn't mean all their signings are going to fire immediately.

I totally appreciate our shitness, and it's hard to see us ever winning again sometimes, but let's not massively talk up the opposition when the facts suggest they don't really deserve it.

That is absolutely true but Newcastle have tried to do something positive about their plight whereas we have not done anything at all. Pardew has already said that the current players have stepped up a gear due to the new arrivals, therefore the new arrivals have already had a direct influence. If you do nothing, nothing will happen akin to Villa!

I think the defeatism has a lot to do with our inability to beat teams like Wigan and Southampton. Newcastle may be shit, but they're on their arse and we all what the best team to play is when you're in that position.

I understand that, but really, this is a no-win situation if you take that mindset.

If we were playing Man City or Spurs we'd be saying "no chance, they're too good". So, we're playing an on-their-arse shit team, and it becomes "and who is the best team to play when you're on your arse".

Reading were on their arses when they came here, and how many points did they go away with?

I think we'll win this, and I never think we'll win.

Just make sure the corner flags are well watered. I'm talking quicksand.

Excellent suggestion. Genuinely.

Forward it to the club.

Well lets hope you are right. I am beyond believing this team will stop the free fall any time soon. If we go ahead by a goal I expect us to collapse, if we go behind by a goal I expect us to collapse, every corner feels like a penalty.

I dunno man, I feel we have supported the team and manager to an amazing degree. Time for them to start supporting us.

I'd demolish the Trinity and Witton Lane stands and make the pitch about 40 metres wider.
