Interesting. Imagine it will be backing Lambert.True. I doubt it'll be new signings! I think it might be a re-statement of the General's leaked comments.Sorry mate, what leaked comments?Have I missed anything important or is it the usual stuff?Entirely usual I'm afraid. There were about as surprising as the sun rising.

The sound of silence remains .
and a host of players who are suffering from a clear lack of belief and confidence.
The statement thing was tweeted from a parody account
Quote from: eastie on January 26, 2013, 01:28:48 PMIs there any truth in this meeting talk , where did radio wm get it from ?If true i suspect randy will take his chopper to lambert should we lose on tues. There's a good chance that he will come over but it is probably WM just having a punt. If he doesn't show up it will be 'Lerner cancels plans to meet Lambert for showdown talks'.You would think that local radio would not try to play the tricks of the big newspapers and would just report facts. I have no doubt that the whole thing is fabricated.

It's all speculation that alleged money promised to Lambert has been pulled. Wasn't there talk from Pelty or some, supposedly authoritative source in August that Lambert actively chose to bring in lower wage earners from lower league sides? I think the Dempsey bid proved that there was scope for leeway in making a big signing (or more, who knows?). Lambert could well have had targets lined-up for this window but maybe they've knocked him back after seeing our form utterly collapse in the last five weeks. Maybe the clubs in question have also raised their prices knowing we're desperate and thus we don't want to be made mugs of. Lambert has praised Lerner a number of times recently unprompted. He spoke to MON before taking the job - presumably O'Neill had plenty of good things to say about Lerner as well as not so good. We're all just looking for someone to blame at the moment and it's clearly a combination of an owner who doesn't seem sure of himself in this business, a manager clearly still learning at the the biggest job of his management career and a host of players who are suffering from a clear lack of belief and confidence.
