KE Aston School Car Park NOT open tonight

Hi folks, unfortunately the car park will not be open tonight as the playgrounds are covered in snow and the local roads have not been gritted and are like ice rinks.

Literally just driven past the KE, car park covered in snow. All main roads relatively decent, all side roads bad, compacted snow/ice. Took me double the usual amount of time to get into town today from Sutton Coldfield. Tyburn Road past Gravelly Park particularly crawling.

Trains seem like the best bet if at all possible.

Anyone know what local trains were running like yesterday evening rush hour, any delays?

Shit. Now confirmed in an email from Helen Smith. (I have a season ticket for this one) God knows where I'll park tonight now

That'll be my wife!!! The last time the snow was bad I parked at Star City and walked - fair trek but in and out easy enough.

She's upstairs sending them out as I type! I've passed on your comments. This has only happened once before and unfortunately although the school is open they have only cleared a few spaces for teachers. In the future Villa have offered to grit but that is not applicable tonight.

I've changed my mind from Ruskin Hall and will go to Perry Barr Greyhound Car Park. Never been on here but I'm hopeful it's okay
