That midfield shows why we struggle, due to lack of defensive quality. But it should be plenty against Bradford, come on Villa step up tonight and earn the right to wear the Villa shirt.

Bannan and Ireland in the same team FFS! And N'Zogbia moved out wide just when he started to look good in the central role. Can't say I have much confidence in that team TBH.

Might be a diamond midfield four, with Zog behind Gabby and Benteke.

IMO that side needs to score 5 to get through.

Who else would you suggest?

I agree - diamond. Imagine no place for Bent in a team needing goals. Funny old season.

They're Aston Villa players, if each give 110% it shouldn't matter who wears the shirt.

This isn't about a football game, it's about wearing your shirt with pride and giving everything.

Rubbish, they need to be giving at least 200% tonight.

Lambert is going for it I give him that. God knows how we will avoid conceding though.

That team will do for me. If this was round 2 and that was the team i would be happy and expect a 3/4-0 win.

About as much defensive discipline as an Ossie Ardilles special... we will be like a bucket with a hole.

I think it's saying "our defence is shit, so let's not worry about it".  Could be a masterstroke, Villa to win 8-5 and go through 9-8 on aggregate.
