I think he will shoulder (rightly so) a large amount of the on pitch blame if we get relegated as he has been hopeless for 18 months. That said if he has another 3 good months (as opposed to 3 games) then he will be seen as a saviour.

Don't think he is a long term fit for us regardless of where we finish this season.

However at least there are likely to be a couple of mug punters willing to remove him from our wage bill in the event of relegation unlike Ireland, Given, Hutton, Gabby.

Yes,let's sell a player now he's finally settling and hitting some form????.He was clearly unhappy last season under the most negative manager in the world and said as much. He's also been plagued by injuries and this is the first time he's had a run of games in his favoured position and appears to be doing the business. He also seems popular with his team mates and should we stay up will hopefully push on next season

It's only now he's been getting a clear run under PL after injuries, and clearly it suits him more. Lets face it, McLeish drained the lifeblood out of every spec of flair we might have had last season.

I'd like to see Zoggy stay with us next season, IF we're still top flight and IF he keeps the form up.

I quite like Zog in the free role. It allows him freedom to attack either flank. He's good at running at the fullbacks, and it's then hard to keep track or which flank he's on. He can go inside, outside, where-ever.

At the moment we need to make use of all our matchwinners. That might not be a very long list, but Zog is proving his worth now. I still think we haven't seen nearly his best either. The more confident he gets, the better he'll get.

I like him, even through his poor form I never felt it was through lack of effort, in fact I said on here earlier this season that I was more worried that he was trying hard but just looked shit.

Credit to him for working hard to find his form, and credit to the manager for playing him in a position that suits him well.

His poor form previously was down to him trying to do too much.  Where he's done well recently is that's he's looking for other players a lot more and not trying to beat 4-5 men every time he gets the ball.

The only thing he's ever been lack is a final ball, as he's always been capable of breezing past players with ease.

He has recently added that final/killer ball and looks a good player. I would agree that he is getting his head up a lot more too.

He's a real talent when his head is one straight and it seems to be coming together for him right now. Lambert has given him licence to move around the pitch and he's beginning to show us what we all knew he had. Look at the way he weaved between three players for Benteke's first at Everton. It's that inventiveness that we've been missing. Going forward we always have a chance and he's now a big reason as to why that is.

I'd say he's improved a lot and now looks half decent, but compared to the way i saw him play a few times for Wigan he's a long way off that.

More than happy to keep him if he plays like he has done recently on a consistent basis. I don't think that is likely to happen based on the previous 18 months, 3 good games does not equal £10m + £3p.a.

If we get relegated then I suspect some end of season eye catching performances will see him on his way regardless.

And what if he helps keep us up as he did Wigan?

Charlie is definetely improving. I have more faith in him for the fight ahead than that useless nutjob Ireland.
He seems to have improved since I had a screaming rant at him from the Trinity a few games back.

Can you do that to a few more of them, please?

Can you tell us what the rant :)

Agree with most.

Always knew there was a player in there, as we'd seen at Wigan. Can look as if the ball is glued to his foot at times and always looks capable of beating his man.

If I was to be critical, he does have a tendency to take on too many defenders when there's often an easy lay-off available and perhaps his crossing isn't so great, but regardless, you daren't leave him out of the side atm.

That's all it took, give or take, for Patrick Berger to get a new contract.

Problem is that fans expect players to always hit the ground running. Petrov was shit for the first season with us yet many would have him back in the team in a flash. N'Zogbia has at times flattered to deceive but has never been lazy as some have accused him of being. He is an attacking player that was forced to do anything but attack under McClown and the fans decided to turn against the player rather than the tactics. This season he has had injury probs but I believe we are now seeing what he's all about and long may it continue since he's one of very few players that can make things happen and if we do stay up I'm sure he'll be one of the big reasons why.
