I understand that Lerner is over from the states and is attending tonight? Anyone confirm? If so, let's hope he brings his cheque book with him and signs a couple of sizeable cheques before he goes home!

Just for one day only, how about giving it a rest?

The Windsor is not too bad for a quick couple i suppose. I've never been in the Shakespear. I can't say i want to.

Did Bradford sell out their allocation?

Yep they're meeting in the phonebox at the Tesco end of Trinity Road.

Strangely, after having almost zero availability yesterday, almost all of A7 is now showing as available.

I think they found out that The Werewolf was in there.

Bloody hell, The Windsor - haven't been there in years.  If you want the full on pikey experience, why not head up to the Square Peg?  you'll see things in there you never thought possible.

I can vouch for that! After spending a few hours in there years back nothing will shock me in a pub ever again!

The Shakespeare is alright and handy for the station, good range of beer although haven't been in for a while and wasn't too impressed with the makeover.

Thank god for trampy pissheads, without then this pub would be dead lol

Mate, get out of that dump and walk 2 minutes to The Shakespeare. You'll be glad you did.

Or, you could try Bacchus or Bennetts Hill. Don't go to The Square Peg. It's a freak show.
Pop round to The Old Joint Stock too

Having a pint in the Windsor good beer, cheap prices n very friendly locals, what more can I ask for

That pub is a lot different to the one of the same name that used to stand there. They used to chuck them out the back of Yates's Wine Lodge (also sadly gone) into there and vice versa.
The Wellington would be worth a try before it gets busy, if you like your beer.

Pity The Temple Bar isn't still there. That pub, The Windsor and Yates's Wine Lodge were like Wild West saloons on a good night.  There were all manner of people in there, with most of them having got their tickets from everywhere else.

To give the uninitiated a flavour, I once saw a young woman forcibly ejected from The Square Peg for being paralytic and abusive to staff and customers. Nothing unusual in that except it was at 9:30 on a Saturday morning.

Nah, it's OK now. They were clearing ice off it this morning.
