Tykes? Thought that was Barnsley. Agreed though, nice touch.

I think you're right. Bradford are bantams

G'over! I always associated Tykes with Bradford. Not Leeds, Sheffield or Barnsley and certainly not Harrogate. Just Bradford.

Da Wiki:

Quote
Bradford City have had a number of nicknames during the history. In their early years, they were referred to as the Robins or Wasps, taking over the nickname of Manningham FC, as a result of Manningham's claret and amber hoops.[5] Other nicknames have been the Citizens or Paraders, but the club is better known as the Bantams.

A lot of talk of a pitch invasion  if we win. Thoughts?
Police say its 10 to a cell in that event. They'll wish they'd stayed put.

I wasn't refering to club nicknames. I worked in Bradford for a year many moons ago and they referred to themselves as Tykes.

Slightly off topic but just seen that my favourite Bradford after work boozer, The Peel, has been knocked down. It was a cracking little pub.

Where is this talk?  It's a pathetic idea.

I've got these lovely claret & blue high-heels that I've been just longing to wear to a game !

I told you they were just a lend for the summer, Redsox. When can I have them back?

Totally agree. Given is barely recovered and if he breaks down we would be wasting a potentially needed sustitution .......

I don't think we'd be 3-1 down if Guzan had played in the first leg.

You have to give the other keeper some game time. It's not like the days when there was a reserve game every Saturday.

A keeper that will undoubtedly be away in the summer? I'd go for the better keeper in this situation.

Maybe you're right but not tomorrow. Ian Taylor has just said on Tom Ross's show that Bradford are going to try and win corners, free kicks and throw in's at every opportunity because they know how vunerable we are defending set pieces so i'd rather have a keeper who's commands his box and comes for crosses, which is something Guzan does well.

Guzan the penalty king.

And it might just come to that.
