A 4-0 drubbing by the Villa, Gabby 2 Benteke 2. A new positivism will arise before and after the game and those that have been boys will become men. Every nerve and sinew will be stretched and the sweat of previous disappointments will be turned into the sweet wine of success. Expectations will at last be realised and those that have pledged allegiance to the claret and blue will once more walk with a jaunty step. Be loud, be proud, for this is Aston Villa Football Club and it is perfect.

Brilliant

Excellent.

3 nil home win, followed by somewhat muted celebrations.

We'll win by 4 clear goals, have a bit of a sing song enjoy the moment and forget about relegation battle for one night.

How long is Herd out for? Would be much needed in the centre

Oh fuck, forgot about Westwood.

I'd be tempted to shunt Clark there with Vlaar and Baker (if fit) at the back.

Otherwise it could be Bomb scare getting a full 90 minutes.

5-2 Villa.

Average 4th Division team.  We know what they're about now.  No excuses.

Id be surprised if baker is fit and it could be a choice of either lowton and vlaar in centre defence with clark and bannan in midfield or clark and vlaar in central defence with bannan and ireland in midfield, if delph, westwood and kea all unavailable.

I think we'll have a huge amount of possession, a vibrant crowd and chances galore all in our favour. It's just our defending (especially on set pieces) that is a bit of a concern.

I wonder if Daniel Johnson will play alongside Bannan in midfield? (Assuming Delph doesn't recover in time).

I would guess that Delph has lot more chance than Baker, Delph was an impact injury which can be healed quicker where Baker pulled/strained/snapped something which is gonna be 2 weeks minimum.
