Looking at the weather I don't think there's a chance this will go ahead.

Same as, the odds for bradford arent great either if mondays forecast comes true - could be another 8 inches on monday in the west mids.

The only other plus to having the game called off on Saturday would to be to give us a rest for Bradford. Hopefully both will go ahead though.

Just thinking if bradford is off and we draw at millwall we could find ourselves with a bit of a fixture pile up looming  should that happen.

That's the price you pay for being a successful club and why it's important to have a strong squad. Oh, wait....

Apparently we're the only team in the Football League that are still in all the competitions we have have entered.Blues were in a similar position the year they were relegated and ended up with about 3 games in hand which was their lifeline.Of course they ended up losing them all

Gritters poised to prevent Baggies v Villa derby being cancelled

Gritters on standby to ensure West Bromwich Albion v Aston Villa clash gets the green light to beat the predicted snow
Gritters have been booked to keep pavements and car parks around The Hawthorns clear of snow as the Baggies battle to make sure the crunch derby against Villa beats the blizzards.

Heavy snow and high winds are forecast throughout Friday with local falls of up to 12ins predicted for high ground.
The Hawthorns is the highest ground in England so preparations are already well-advanced to safeguard the televised teatime clash tomorrow.

An Albion spokesman said pre-match work was well-underway to enable the fixture to go-ahead.

The club spokesman added: “We’re making all of our usual pre-match preparations. The undersoil heating is on and doing its job and we’ve got gritters booked to service both inside the stadium and the immediate vicinity outside.”
A capacity crowd is expected for the 5.30pm kick-off and police confirmed they had contingency plans in place to deal with any adverse weather.

Good luck with that baggies ,i cant see it having a hope in hell of being on.

If was a couple of inches that  might work but is expected to be far heavier than that .

I never knew the Hawthorns is the highest ground in England, always though it was Boundary Park, it was like the Arctic Circle up there.

It will be off - it'll be the 'wrong' sort of snow. Every time the Council say they're prepared for the snow it ends up as gridlock everywhere. Anything more than 3'' of snow will be chaos!

Boundary Park in 87 was the coldest I have ever been at a football match.

Roker park in 85 for me - no roof and wind and rain hammering in off the north sea - we did win 4-0 though.

your last word on them is correct, but they are nearly on an equally bad run of form and have players missing, injured etc, vlaar returning for us, i really fancy us to win this one! perfect time to play.

on the weather front, i just tweeted our police liason officer stuart bladen and asked' if we have what has been forcast, do you think the game will be on'? he came straight back and said the olbeyun are supremly confident it will go ahead. come on boys, lets rip into these small time wankers!

this is how it feels to be albion
this is how it feels to be small
this is how it feels when your clubs won next to fuck all!

Be pissed off if it goes ahead and can't get there due to no public transport
Have shelled £80 on 2 tickets
