Based on their current scintillating form, no doubt.

I'd go with:

                Guzan

Lowton Vlaar Baker Lichaj

Holman Westwood Delph CNZ

  Weimann Benteke

Weimann is not, in my opinion, a winger or midfielder. His movement and link up with Benteke is good so we need to capitalise on this. Delph, Westwood and Holman should have enough solidity to protect the back 4, leaving our strikers plus a motivated (hopefully) CNZ to run at the Albion's defence.

1-0 Villa. C'mon!

have you been to a game lately? Why would Lichaj and Holman be anywhere near the team if there are other players, even our crap ones, available?

When Holman first came in, he masked his lack of ability by charging around the pitch and putting the oppo under pressure. He doesn't even do that anymore.

You watch him next time he plays. He spends a lot of the time walking around the pitch with his head down. As soon as a player gets past him, he gives up and starts walking. No thoughts about chasing back and putting the player under pressure from behind.

And Lichaj I'm afraid will never be anymore than a last resort squad player.

The alternative to Holman is either Ireland (lazy), Gabby (not a midfielder) or Bannan (still loses the ball a lot). I agree Holman is not great (to put it politely) but is probably the best bet of those that I mention.

I couldn't agree more on Holman. Lost his man at Swansea for their equaliser with a pathetic attempt to win the ball and then no effort to get back. And simply jogged towards the Villa box on Saturday as Southampton broke and got their penalty. Like you, I've watched him closely. If the ball or an opposing player is not within ten yards of him, he isn't interested and the head goes down. Disgraceful attitude and absolutely infuriating to see from the stands. Shouldn't be anywhere near a team that's in a relegation battle if he doesn't want to contribute.

I'd throw him in against Bradford personally.

Yep, batten down the hatches and get your spades ready.
Maybe bradford too i think , could be a blessing in disguise if it means a stronger side when the games do go ahead.

I doubt this game will be postponed, local games don't tend to be because the fans don't have as far to travel.

Health and safety of supporters is the key , if the forecast is correct of possibly 6 inches or more and freezing temperatures then approaches to the ground become a major issue of safety.

Met office have already issued a heavy  snow warning for the west midlands for friday .
The  thing with it being local is they can possibly wait longer before making a decision depending on how bad the snow is.

The health and safety of some supporters will be in question whether there is ice or not, given its kick off time.
