He's right though, we really must win this game.

0-3 loss. Lambert will get sacked, and DiMatteo will join on the Friday.

Brave fan who predicts a Villa win here.
So many times this season I've gone along thinking, we'll turn it around here, we can't get tonked again - and we do.

I fear a defeat and I think any sort of comfortable loss will see the end of Lambert. I really didn't see this coming, I've been pretty much behind Lambert til now.

He needs a result on Saturday or I think he'll go the way of Solbakken.

Must-fucking-win game. Let's hope they don't bottle it.

Like the Wigan match?

Well like every match really. However we're even more mired in the shite than we were at that point. I think in this case however we tip from a team in crisis (as we did after the Wigan game) into potentially terminal decline.

Are the Brigada boys planning anything for this?
A flat atmosphere on a pissy, dark Sat afternoon in the midlands as we get tonked is a suicide alley.

Guzan
Lowton - Fuck knows - Fuck knows' Partner - Stephens
Herd - Westwood
Weiman - N'Zogbia - Holman
Benteke

If playing well, that should be enough to beat Southampton.

Stick ten men behind the ball to avoid a defeat at all costs. I don’t give a monkey’s if it makes TSM’s blend of football seem like 1973 vintage Ajax, just make sure we don’t lose. Right now a 0-0 draw will seem like a minor victory, in view of events.
If we achieve this, we can regroup, get in reinforcements and address the shopping list of problems we have.

0-2, we have no confidence, belief or organisation. Expect a quiet home crowd which turns to anger and turning on our own players
Get off your arse and sign someone Lambo

Ten men behind the ball means lots of set pieces.  I doubt we could defend a set piece with any amount of men behind the ball.

We need to win this. If we lose we might well go down.

If the performance is as limp as many predict and Lambert is sacked then we will go down, I think, regardless of who comes in, unless anyone is deluded enough to still think we can get the likes of Mourinho.

Another dreadful defeat.  We got beaten by Bradford last night so Southampton will be all over us like a cheap suit.  Can't wait!
