Maybe something to cheer us up...
« on: January 09, 2013, 01:15:47 AM »
I had the pleasure of speaking with Graham Taylor on the phone today. And after the work stuff was out of the way I said thank you to him for all the work he did for Aston Villa.

He was very complimentary toward us and seemed genuinely touched by what what I had said to him.

And if you're wondering why he won't be doing any media work for the African Cup of Nations... He promised his wife he wouldn't.

Keep his number, we might need to call him again in May.

Top man, some of the abuse he took during his second spell in charge was appalling.

He might be a good DOF for us. PL clearly needs help.

Ask him if he wants a seat on the board.

Ask him if he wants a seat in the dugout. Starting this weekend.

He kept telling me how busy he was, which was nice to hear.

No, I'm not an agent. I really don't think I'd be very good at that. I think I'd end up signing players like Steve Sidwell and pay them £95,000 a week. Wait, no one's that stupid, are they?
