Even if we do, it'll only be a brief respite before the players resume the National Laughing Stock Tour 2012/13 on February 24th.

As sad as it is i actually LOL'd at that

Whether we get there or not, it was not part of the plan to get humiliated by Bradford City. Their supporters were coming out of pubs along the way to laugh at those on the huge convoy of coaches. I suppose the team coach sneaked by when all had quietened down. This performance will not be forgotten or forgiven merely by getting to another expensive day out at Wembley.

The only way to expunge it is to win it.

For a few seconds after I woke up this morning, last night was forgotten. Then I heard some of the presenters on Radio 5. They could barely contain their excitement. However that doesn't detract from the shambles that Villa currently is. The optimist in me hopes we get to Wembley, and given we'd be the underdogs this is where I should feel we could even win. But I don't.

My heart says yes but my head says no, our strikers have to be in inspired form, because we won't keep a clean sheet.

If we signed a defender in before the tie, providing he isn't cup tied would he be eligable? Or do you have to play in the previous rounds?

I think we can overturning a 2 goal lead against Bradford is by no means impossible. However our manager needs to sort our joke of a defence and midfield out.

Looking at the number of available seats on the seat selector thing on the OS, if you fancy going to the second leg but require the presence of no other human being to intrude on your grief within a 20 seat radius, you'll be fine.

There's not a prayer that match will sell out.

But they're giving everyone a free plastic flag! How could it possibly not sell out?!

Depends how we defend TBH. We should be able to get the goals but whether we keep a clean sheet is another matter. Hopefully we will have a couple of new faces by the 2nd leg too.

Are any new foreign signings ok to play? - all home players would be cup-tied?

I'm a season-ticket holder in the Lower DE. I purchased my seat for the 2nd Leg over the phone yesterday (wish I hadn't bothered!) - at £39.00 + £2.00 rip-off booking fee. £41.00 is steep and mine isn't in the best seats. I might ask for a refund!

I voted yes in the basis that any PL side, however inept,  ought to be capable of winning by 2 or 3 against a 4th division team at home if they really want to.

Whether that would ultimately be a good thing or not is another matter, as I think we've suffered enough public humiliation for one season.

It also ignores the fact that our defence has not played to PL standard, or even championship standard, for the bulk of the last 5 games.
