I think if we lose to Southampon on Saturday, it'll be similar to the Bolton match for TSM when it became clear that things were never, ever going to work.

Like to see Warnock start in midfield at the weekend.

How's Forest treating you alex?

Genuinely or wishful thinking?

Those having a go at the fans can get knotted. The vast majority were well behaved, supported their team throughout and had little reward for shelling out their hard earned for that dog's breakfast of a performance. The focus is always on the minority of idiots.
can get knotted can we john? how about the idiot standing behind me with the lit lighter taunting the home fans, defend him, i dare ya!
as i said in my original post, there are elements of our fans who are a disgrace. if that guy had been caught on camera do you think the headline would have been 'an aston villa fan taunts bradford fans over the fire'? or do you think it would have been' villa fans taunt bradford fans over fire'! we would all get tarred with the same brush. so whatever the ticket price, performance of the team waste of afternoon off work whatever, defend this idiot!

Well that was a pleasurable experience, having managed to avoid him all day the Bradford supporter at work just warmly greeted me.

Oh it was also apparent, we largely started to go tits up as soon as Clark started hoofing it up front.

Apparently, if you set yourself on fire with a gallon of petrol, it stops hurting after a minute or so because the pain receptors in your skin are cauterised.*

This morning has been a bit like that.

Every fucker in the building has stopped at my desk to take the piss. Am now immune to further ridicule, wanker gestures and concern trolling.

Last night was a disgrace, Lambert seemed clueless and had no plan B other than hump it long, there appears to be no defensive coaching at all and the midfield is the worst i've seen at the villa. Can anyone tell what system Lambert is playing? Pass it along the back before lumping it long to Benteke is not the football we were promised. No width, no creativity and acres of space for teams to hurt us out wide. Our full backs are being hung out to dry as they have no protection and also have to try and be our only line of attack out wide. 4-4-2 for the rest of the season with pace out wide and cover for the full backs to do what they should be and that is defending is the only answer. Get back to basics and move on from there and don't over confuse the bloody game. We will all turn up at Villa park on the 22nd and will roar the Villa to Wembley. Bradford have had their day and seem a little cocky so lets ram it back down their throats. If Lambert can't get the players up for that one it is time for him to go. For god's sake Lerner take a look at what's going on and get a grip. We've all been hurt but as usual will be there on saturday when hopefully Lambert and the players will show they've been hurt as much as we have. Still no talk of any signings on the horizon, baffling!!!!

Ignore my earlier advice Chris, grab him in a headlock and wrestle him to the ground, sobbing, until the snot runs down your face

I'm skint, he does the wages. I took your advice, smiled and thought just you wait until the second leg. No doubt I'll have to phone in sick to avoid further humiliation.

Rutski, I agree about that twat of a so called fan but what Damon said wasn't related and actually cheered me up in some small way.

I don't want him to get sacked, to do so now would be nuts for a lot of reasons, but then again, if we lost badly to Southampton, we would have a sequence of results which a manager deserves to get the sack for.

If that makes sense.

I'm struggling to recall a Villa player who looks quite so uninterested and uncommitted as N'Zogbia.

Stephen Ireland? In fairness to Zog he looks busy when he's near the ball. The blind alleys he runs down are the main thing that annoys me about him.
