Had two text messages from my Milwall supporting mate.  Who is actually a lovely bloke!

"Looks like extra policing is being put on for the game according to my mate in the met. Rumors of planned fights are spreading"

"Usually target the standard pub coaches drop off supporters off so if any of your mates are on them you might want to give them the warning".

Just passing the message on guys.

"Planned fights" will be well away from the ground. Other stuff will be kids chucking stones and they will be cleared pretty quickly. As I say watch out of there is a replay ;-)

Yeah hope your right. I just hope our coach doesnt drop us in the middle of nowhere and outside the ground. Going with cheuffers.

I imagine they will stop for a couple of hours somewhere that won't be mentioned here so  that prying eyes from South London don't clock it. Then the coaches will be escorted from a convenient point and taken into the compound at the ground.
The driver would be wise not to fall for the trap that was set for a coach load of Bristol City supporters. The Millwall put a 'Diversion' sign up as it approached. This took it into a dead end street where it was smashed to bits, with those inside getting battered.

Wow.

Millwall fans reading this thread must be pissing themselves.
The bit about the Bristol City coach is true. What's your fucking problem?
By the way, don't bother Googling it as that tells a more recent story. What I refer to happened about 30 years ago.

What don't you understand? they'll be pissing themselves thinking that most of this thread is devoted to people bigging them up as some kind of mass murder hit squad that re-direct fans to dead ends to burn them alive or people stating how worried they are about going.

Is South London, not Soweto.

Anybody that has been to the New Den recently knows the score. The only ground where you will feel the squeeze in this day and age is Shite Andrews on derby day when its going off left right and centre.

Overhyping fables and the such like from 30 years ago is not relevant to your match day exprience at the New Den.

Who is the most active "firm" in the country and with more arrests every year than anybody else? Man United.

There is no collective shitting of it or tales of how it wwnt off in some service station in 1980 when we played them.

Stop buying the Millwall myths

And it was Millwall fans, yes those super human, SS Death Squad types, who got turned over by Bristol City fans the other year.

They must have had tanks or air support to be able to give Millwall a good hiding.

Just when I was looking forward to it. It will be a picnic in the car park now. Anyone care for a cucumber sandwich?

Millwall hate Crystal Palace. When Crystal Palace score they play "Glad All Over" by The Dave Clark Five.

Be afraid, be very afraid!

I was going to Man City once when a mini full of Millwall went past and gave me the wanker sign, I gave one of them a withering look and my mate tutted quite audibly.

I should write a book.

I always join in with that when I'm at Selhurst Park. Need a new drum kit after each rendition.

Millwall isn't what you remember it, its a bunch of 15 year olds throwing bottles then running from the OB. NOTHING will happen, stop over-hyping it, its tiring.

If anyones afraid, don't go

I am Travelling from Basingstoke,I Need to return to Waterloo,Just wondered where the Met will return the train travelling fans to ? London Bridge?

When I saw Aldershot there in a cup match a few years back they held away fans back for about ten minutes, then escorted everyone back South Bermondsey and while there were police on the trains, the people were free to travel wherever they want.

If we do all get escorted back to Brum we'll split a taxi back to Hampshire eh?

By all accounts Millwall were poor in defeat yesterday, but I'm certain they'll raise their game when the big boys come to town.

I'm not sure the atmosphere will be that good, on Friday they had only sold 7,000 tickets. We've passed the 1,000 mark
