I'll put Benty down for a brace today and a cheeky one for Bowery in 3-1 win

The midfield is clearly the obvious issue here, but the team is a lot stronger than I thought it would be. Come on Villa.

It's interesting to see us going back to a 4-4-2 with 2 genuine wide players given the talk pre-season about how wingers are a dying breed. I know there are games where we would get absolutely buried playing that shape but it's good to know that there is flexibility there and there may still be a place for that style in certain games.

stronger than i expected , would have liked to see carruthers get a start but nice to see ijuries clearing , the fact bent starts suggests he may well stay as im sure if they wanted to sell they wouldnt cup tie him or risk injury.

Win today and that's 9 wins in 26 games (34.6%) took McCleish the whole season (42 games (21.4%)) to accrue!

Any of the local radio stations broadcasting the game?
Really hope Bent gets some goals and finds himself back in the team permanently.

My only greater wish would have been to leave Benteke and Weimann at home and fill the bench the youngsters to give them a go when we are winning 3-0!
