There hasn't been these many injuries at Wimbledon since Vinnie Jones retired.

I think I've just seen the coolest player this year - Dustin Brown. Drives to tournaments in a camper van, smiled when he lost a set, has dreadlocks and beat Leighton Hewitt. Briilliant.

Aye, credit to Tchaikovsky, he was excellent. Federer had made thirty-six successive open quarter-finals previously!

Mrs Stravinsky seemed nice

Yes, I too observed her with much interest.

Do you know that after fourteen years of marriage, kids, work and bills, if you were to take a picture of me and the wife at any time we would be gazing at each other just like that.

Except she never carries a tennis racket.
And I never wear a shirt in that colour.
And we never actually look at each other like that.
And even if I went away to Wimbledon for two weeks and won the thing she would want to know why I hadn't done the garden.

Thinking of who's left in Wimbledon:-

Murray
Djokovic
Ferrer
Del Potro - Struggles with injury
Berdych - Rarely good enough to beat the very top players

Don't think anyone else could win it

Even of those Ferrer isn't a great player on grass and del potro/Berdych aren't in the same class as Murray and Djokovic.  It will be a big shock from here for that not to be the final.

Just looked and the others decent players are all in Djokovic's half of the draw, Murray shouldn't play anyone really tough until the Final.

They should let Serena take on Djok and Jock. None of the men left will challenge them.

I've only just read this. Really made me laugh. Great stuff!

Funnily enough there has been lots of talk today about a possible Murray v Serena match. Would be utterly pointless, obviously.

Serena laughed it off saying she wouldn't have a chance.

Robson should go through easily in spite of serving dreadfully and doing a lot more unforced errors than winners.

I am not a big tennis fan but I have seen a fair bit this week due to my enforced home stay. I never realised how much of it is just about sex. It is  middle-class wankathon material. Man, woman, gay, straight it is all there for you. All those toned, athletic, sweating bodies clad in the thinnest of white.

And transgender when Mauresmo used to play....
