Cuddled up on the settee watching Mary Poppins and wishing I was a kid again, then some bugger ruins it all by calling to let me know we'd equalised.

It's all a bit of a blur after the bloke on Final Score/Red Button said 'there's been another goal at the Liberty Stadium... but Aston Villa fans need not worry'

Had a nice walk round Trimpley Resevoir - watcihng the displays of three Greater Spotted Woodpeckers sorting out their Spring territory was a delight. We were all feeling in touch with the spirit of Nature as we got back in the car.

Just coming past the Cat at Wordsley as Andy scored and spoiled the peaceful atmosphere by screaming "GET THE FUCK INNNNNN!!!" and making everyone jump. They're used to it really.

Angrily building a bonfire. If it had finished 4-0 again there's a reasonable chance I would have chucked my bloody self on top of it.

Trying unsuccessfully to come up with a name for a crooked dealer in antiquities in a work of fiction I am working on.  So charged up by scoring a goal again I got the perfect name instantly.   Murdo McLeish.

Sleeping off NYE - it was 7:44 am and I'd been in bed almost four hours.
