Weimann and Benteke are like a pair of pearls, perched precariously atop a pile of steaming turd.

The thing is, put Vlaar and dunne in at centre back, and a frimpong like player (if fully fit) and I'd have an awful lot more confidence. But I still think we need a centre back in January whatever the fitness position. I wonder if it would be possible to bring chris samba back from Russia. Or is h on mega bucks?

The 4 bookings are gonna prove crucial. Delph opening his gob, Weimann needlessly kicking ball away are just plain stupid. But last 25 showed some encouraging signs and indeed a good goal great ball over the top Williams fecked it up letting Weimann to finish really well.

Y'know, this business about the kids: they will all have  been in structured junior set-ups for the last 6-8 years, so there is no excuse for losing their shape and playing in such an ill-disciplined way.
I really hope Lambert gets them settled down for the second half: they don;t need to dive in; they don't need to get bent out of shape - they just need to get focussed and work for each other.

Believe!

A draw here would steady the ship. Forget a win, breaking the losing streak is paramount. Then we can focus on pushing up. A draw to break the bad run would be excellent.

We need wins - a draw would be ok but why settle for that ?

And Albrighton was guilty of giving the ball away even more than others on the team; he really has gone to the dogs.

The goal could be massive just for their heads. That they can actually score and it's not all about picking the ball out of our own net. It's a lot of very young kids out there, and the upward climb to be a solid pro is a lot steeper than the speed down down the slope when it goes wrong. They need to gradually introduced but they've been thrown in and have taken some proper batterings. Somehow, some way we need to get through this period. Today, could be a massive step. The second half could be as important as any we've played in a long, long while.

The control and pass from Benteke for the goal was superb.

I'm talking about fans expectations today. The table is worrying, we need wins but given the bad run we are on stopping the rot with a draw would be a good result which would give us something to build on.
