Bradford will tear us apart on this showing.

When you see a paper-thin squad like ours being comprehensively outplayed by a side that had until very recently been out of the top flight for thirty years, it's absolutely mystifying that some people persist in thinking that our owner is doing a good job.

Fucking hell this is depressing. No service to the forwards. Defending terrible. Herd isn't a centre half.

We need somebody, anybody with a little bit of experience and influence to be out there. Right now they are all looking around at each other for help and none of them have the ability to provide it. Lambert is accountable for a lot of this but it's really not as though the other available players would make much of a difference.

I don't know if he's doing the best he can, but he can't be happy either. He's been around the game at a high level for long enough to see that this lot are getting battered and what he's not going to want is for it to go so long that they are permanently damaged by this. So with that I really, really hope Randy being in town to see this is going to prompt action that will be decisive.

Randy went home at 12.40 yesterday from bhx

We're totally crap, not creating anything remotely like a chance, second half another 2 or 3 goals in the against column.

I'm not even confident that Lambert should be given any more money.  He took a team that the hopeless McLeish kept up, and wasted £20m on a stupid experiment of getting loads of kids.  Well, you reap what you sow, and this team is his, and it's getting what it deserves, ie battered.

And thats the problem. Many of these players are damaged now. It started under TSM and has continued this season. A bunch of kids given no fucking guidance or protection by their manager by way of experienced support around them.  Even the players are asking for help, given Holmans interview yesterday.

My god the management over the last few years has killed us. We didn't need massive funds to build a good squad, but we spent a lot and we've got the worst squad I've ever seen.

I think Benteke is lowering himself to everyone else's level.

Bradford will tear us apart on this showing.

I know things are shit in the PL right now, but Bradford won't tear us apart at all. In fact, the League Cup will be a welcome distraction to the league in my opinion and we'll handle our business.

Fucking hell, that Michu is some player.

£2.2 million. The same as we paid for Westwood, or Bennett.

We didn't pay anything like that for either of those two players. Michu without doubt has been superb but he eluded every major in Europe to wind up at Swansea. That's great scouting but there is a fair degree of luck that a player of that quality goes so cheap and so under the radar. I'm sure his former club with all of their debts are wishing they had got proper market value for him now.

I'm pretty sure that's the kind of figures given for those two players.

Delph costs us again. Another let off. I'm really beginning to think we're going to nick something today.
