I'm glad that I'm up an Alp instead of in South Wales

I think Bennett has good skill and at the moment, looks better going forward than as part of a defensive unit.
Good luck to the lad. He stopped his car on the way into Villa Park, just before the Swansea home game in September, just to have a chat with my dad, who drunkenly shouted, good luck Joey boy. To his credit, he was friendly, was really chuffed about playing for Villa and talked until security had a word with him to drive into the players car park. It made my dads day.

I hope he goes onto be an excellent player. Good luck today Villa, I think we'll win 3-2 and it will be a nervy but enjoyable afternoon! up the villa, Albrighton to score.

A small crumb of consolation is that Wigan and Soton are at home to Man U and Arsenal respectively.  And Reading are away at Spurs.

So if we can somehow wangle a point today it may see us move up a bit.

Absolutely right. Can't see any of them getting anything out of their respective matches so hopefully we can pull away with something/anything from this game.

Please score first.

In the 89th minute....we might just be able to hang on then

What a shit line-up. We are like a man who, having just taken a series of massive punches in the face from a guy twice his size and weight, staggers back, reaches into his pocket, and pulls out...a miniature water pistol. With a crack in it. And no water.

We need some players to get the fuck back from injury and we also need some serious reinforcements.

At least I had the consolation of watching all three Xmas games in NYC, so when the agony was over I could do cool stuff.  Back home watching a dodgy live stream on a windy and grey Isle of Man is quite depressing.
