I thought we were all supposed to be waiting for things to go right with Lambert as opposed to waiting for it all to go wrong?

I don't think Benteke is to blame tbh, Ireland gave him nowhere to play the pass, he needed to hold right back or commit to the front post.

After that Bennett really should've kicked it to touch.

Disagree, benteke far more culpable for that goal than Ireland or Bennett, and he needs to stop getting caught offside, plaudits when due but tonight he is poor.

I am at least enjoying watching Villa more this season than in the last two, that must say something.

Absolute rubbish.  10 goals against and none scored in two games.  Where's their sense of self respect?  Bloody useless.

Absolutely spot on. A bland manager looking a bit lonely on the sidelines-and rightly so, considering the dross he has by large picked this season. I'm going off Lambert, I must admit. January will be where he earns his corn
As bad as things are I have faith in this manager, give him time and a few transfer windows, he will sort the shit out.

Most mistimed tackle I have ever seen there by Delph.

This is dire.  Where's the improvement that was supposed to happen after the Chelsea capitulation?  I suppose 2-0 at home is a minor improvement.

Losing pretty much every senior player to injury and then our best defender just before half time not at all mitigating? Or that Spurs are a very, very good side and we are not near that yet. We have been poor without doubt, but after the weekend it was hardly likely to 1970 Brazil was it. Lost more players since then and none returned to improve the situation.

Delph tackling at its best there.

Considering how bad the last two games have been, thank god for a) the Liverpool result and b) the teams below us keep losing. Wigan is a massive game now isn't it? Really could do with more players coming back for that one

Fucking hell delph, how slow were you there?

PLeat saying Bale doesn't dive.  Yeah, right oh.  That wasn't a dive mind you.  Just a shite tackle.

Lambert has made some good signings, but his most important one was KEA, and I'm afraid he fucked that one right up.

Delph and KEA are the two shittest tackling midfielders in the league.

Joy.
