I have just read your OP again and stand by everything I have said.

I really couldn't care less. You've clearly missed the point and it is entirely pointless debating it with you.

I love my kids but when they come home with a shit school report how can I proud of that.
You will still be proud of your kids but disappointed in their current performance. It's your pride that will help them to improve as you try hard to work on removing the obstacles that resulted in a shit report because if you didn't who would?

Depends on if they bother turning up for school.

Still proud to be a Villa fan.

Results like this happen from time to time. Admittedly not to us usually, but they do happen. Wigan fans are no doubt still proud of their club despite losing by eight goal margins twice in one season a few years back.

Meanwhile, I remember Arsenal getting beat 8-2 at Manyoo last season.

All the noses can sneer and take the piss all they like. I notice all the ones I have on Facebook NEVER talk about their own club, that's broke, in the lower reaches of the Championship and will probably drop like a stone when they sell their 'keeper in January.

So to summise, I'm still proud to ba a fan because every club gets this sort of thing occasionally

I will be proud and still support the Villa if they were in the Midland Co Op Dairies league division 2 getting thrashed by Tamworth's third team. I have bought into the the name, the badge, the colours and the history.
The choice is not mine. Aston Villa made the choice by being there and "got me" forever.

I am obviously still proud to be a Villa fan but I sincerely hope the players are ashamed of that gutless and embarrassing performance. Guzan excepted.

The heaviest defeat in my Life of supporting Villa. Not the hardest to stomach, but the worst defeat.

Not a game I watched but listened to Green and Murray on BBC5L; painful and dperessing.
I have a number of good Chelsea-supporting mates and I'm impressed that they have at least given me no grief today. I appreciate their respect / restraint.

Supporting Villa is for life; not just for Christmas.

Always proud

and what made me even prouder was the reaction of the supporter who accompanied me along the painful walk to and the subsequent tube journey amongst the piss taking cockeys.

Everyone to a man and women stood chest out and gave back as good as we got all very good natured despite the pain of witnessing one of the most shameful days in our history

The six we shipped at Newcastle in the immediate post MON era was a worse result because they could have had 10 and Chelsea are an infinitely better side than Newcastle.
