Can't see it posted anywhere else. Garth Crooks team of the week.

Three Villa players. Is that a record?

Interesting to see that Lowton is starting to get some plaudits in the press.

Girth Crooks is indeed a tit and he's one of the madcaps out there saying that Villa will not be able to keep Benteke (he's right, insofar as CB is unlikely to stay for the rest of his career; but it was more in the tone of "wait for January", which his clearly mad).

Very interesting:

"Did you know? Aston Villa have conceded one goal a game on average in the seven matches Nathan Baker has played this season, compared with 1.70 per game in the 10 he has missed."

Don't dis Pingu, he's put three of our players in there.
It's not his fault his wife keeps buying him shirts 2 sizes too small.

I think he's the best sheer defender we have, so not all that surprising!

Why does he always look stoned off his tits though?

I genuinely think we have a future England right back in the making there. Definitely providing strong competition for Kyle Walker for that role at least.

Would agree with that Chipsticks.  Considering Martin Kelly has been around the England set up recently, I think Lowton will be in with a good shout if he keeps developing the way he is.  Ditto Westwood.

I hope not.
It's nothing but trouble when players go away with those shower of bastards.
'You're only on £20,000 per week?!?'

Hopefully, Terry and Ferdinand going will precipitate a generational change between now and the World Cup - no Cashley (I'd have Baines ahead on form this season anyway), no Stevie Me (again, wouldn't start him ahead of others), none of that. An England team of Wilshere, Ox, Lowton (and Westwood, I'm convinced of it) - that team I could get behind.

What an insightful chap.

Lloris is fully deserving of his place in the team. Having not made a single save in the whole match that he played.
