I'd settle for a draw on this one given we have the double jeopardy of Dowd as ref and the match is on Sky!.

I reckon Chelsea will beat Leeds, we'll get them in the cup draw and we'll lose to them on Saturday... Bringing us right down to earth.

Now, hopefully I've jinxed atleast one of those things.

Our responses to the inevitable crap about their extremely luck euro cup win

When we won the cup
when we won the cuuuup
we were Champions
when we won the cup

you only drew in the final
drew in the final
you only drew in the final

Hopefully they've knackered themselves out by all having to keep going back into their own half.

Despite two excellent performances last week, we could easily have conceded 3 goals in each game. I suspect Chelsea would take advantage of those chances so we need to tighten up a bit. Certainly none of the mistakes that herd (Liverpool) baker (norwich) and Westwood (liverpool) made to gift chances please!

I think this might be a 4-2 defeat or similar unless we can be a bit more consistently tighter

In this preview of the League Cup Final Dowd will award an early penalty and yellow card for a red card challenge by Terry and then... We've seen it all before, etc.

I think we'll win the cup to be honest.

Bit more worried after seeing them hit form last night but at least we will have a go and nothing to lose.

I thought they looked poor in the first half.  That's poor against a very poor Leeds.  They'll be worrying about the beast that's for sure and I think we will be much tighter in defence.  We might get a bit over run in midfield if Mata is on the ball but if we can hold them for the first half  it might be advisable to bring on Gabby later in the game if it becomes stretched.

I'll dispute Lawro's opinion that we 'don't have much quality'. I think some of our goals of late have showed plenty of quality.

I thought Lawro was a bit patronising, although I sort of know what he means. I read it as 'I don't know much about a lot of villa players'.

Lawro's just patted us on the head and said 'aww'. We do have quality, I'm surprised he missed that given his apparent belief that anyone who can beat the Mighty Reds must be a team of geniuses. You might as well take that prediction and stick it on the away dressing room wall on Sunday.
