A good afternoon all round, was playing tennis with a bindipper, who was stunned to hear the 1/2 time score , & left very swiftly when we went 3-0 , oh, & he lost in straight sets !

Guzan was Guzan - calm, assured, competent. He's brilliant at times, but didn't have to be today. What a signing.

He's been one of Lambert's best signings and he was the easiest of the lot!

What a transformation from the guy who was battered during the Blackburn semis.

I do remember the days when me and my old man used to liken him to a vampire due to his inability to deal with crosses.

Yes. I retract everything I said. Totally clueless (me, not him).

Game, set and match. You should have went easy on your big first serve though.

While everyone is praising Benteke to the hilt perhaps Chris Herd, Nathan Baker, and Ciaran Clark should be sharing some of his praise.

All three were magnificent for all ninety minutes.

Another good stat. Our starting XI today was the youngest seen in the Premier League this season so far - they averaged 23 years, 309 days old. Heroes.

What did our starting line up cost today?  As well as being one of the youngest I bet it's also very cheap.  £10m-£12m?

Basking in the afterglow of a magnificent performance and enjoying a healthy indulgence of Schadenfreude washed down by copious quantities of beer whilst listening to The Black Keys.

Life is sweet.....

Knocking back a few Cidres and watching football 1st, bursting with pride, fans sounded fantastic today, the 19th minute was extremely well observed.
Benteke witha great finish and a fantastic backpass for the 2nd. Liverpool had possesion but our defence was fantastic!
YIPPI AYYY YIPPI OOOOOO!

Holman, Clark, Baker, Guzan, Lichaj, Herd, Bannan, and Weimann all cost nothing.

Lowton - 3 million
Benteke - 7 million
Westwood - 2 million

So I'm going to assume £12 million? Could be wrong. If so this means that Stewart Downing cost almost twice our entire team that beat him 3-1.

I'm just loving the fact we shut the doubters up today, they gotta eat a big slice of humble pie!
