So, this is going to be a very important half for our young team - they'll need to be majorly focussed and calm to see this out.

And watching that second goal back....just a brilliant, brilliant goal.

Well, that was incredible.
30 mins totally under the cosh and looking totally outclassed and disinterested.
But, we have woken up, have taken the game to them and look superb going forward.
Benteke, Weimann, Baker and Clarke have been magnificent.
Guzan has been sound.
I am worried about Holman, he looks knackered or ill.

Please boys, please, dont throw this away, nothng other that a win now.
Please.

I think throwing charlie on the pitch for Holman for 30 minutes will cause Liverpoo's defence problems
and I don't mean for the scousers to sniff.

I'd be more inclined to bring Bennett on for Lichaj. We need to retain possession if we're going to hold onto this.

What were Merson et al. predicting beforehand? The lack of knowledge of our players from the commentary I'm listening to is really shoddy. Mispronunciation of names, forever mixing-up Lichaj with Barker with Lowton. Yeah, we're a much-changed side these days but as professionals it's their job to know this shit.
I'm bracing myself for a 2-2 at worst.

Obviously I only have the radio to go by, but would anyone else be tempted to take Holman off and bring maybe Delph on?
Not a bad shout.
Delph was impressive at Norwich the other night.

Another word of caution, they were 2-0 down to West Ham last week and won. We have to perform better in second half.

Just seen the goals again - the return from Benteke for Weimann's goal was outrageous. Quality stuff

What a remarkable 45 minutes.  We could have scored within 30 seconds then it was like the Alamo for half an hour.  Out of nothing Benteke scores a belter from 20 yards and we start looking much better.  We have a couple of promising breaks and Liverpool continue to threaten before we score one of the slickest goals you'll ever see.  Fabulous.

Tough 45 minutes coming up but if we can just get the win here the confidence boost will be out of this world, for the players and the fans.

Whatever happens in the second half, we've found the strikeforce for the rest of the season, Bill and Ben with Holman supporting them.

It was I didn't even see it coming, I thought Benteke would just shoot.

Admiral's Pie time. I'm getting sick of eating them but the way results keep going when I eat them then i'll keep eating the feckers until I turn into one.
I had a Frey Bentos pie during the Norwich game. Think I'll nip down the shop for one.

What a day to have no TV, internet or phone on my street. Fucking cable company. I'm guessing nobody is laughing at us buying Benteke now. If it wasn't for Michu he'd be the best import into the game this season. Fantastic. Now the important. Liverpool are going to come after us. Stay calm and keep the ball.

All the SSN pundits predicted a Liverpool, which could still happen. Alan Green stated there was no way Arsenal would lose against Bradford as well.
