I actually think Liverpoo should be higher than where they are . they have played some decent football without getting the results
and suarez is a world class striker . They are slowly getting better too.  I would be seriously over the moon If we dont lose today .
That would be an awesome result.    Play like we did against Norwich , we can get a point , play like we did against Reading , we will be stuffed.

Think it could be a cracking game as I can see both teams just going for it. There is no point sitting back and defending so we may aswell just go at their jugular.

I have a funny feeling N'Zogbia is going to come on for the last 20 minutes and make a significant difference.

I've had the same feeling for the past 16 months and I'm still waiting for N'Zogbia to do something. Maybe a 20 yarder curler into the top corner in front of the Kop will push up his value and we can flog him in January.

I've been saying the same, bt it actually happened on Tuesday.

He really looked the part when he came on.

Was shocked how well Nzogbia contributed when he came on. I am hoping Lambert has spotted something in him which can make him "tick" he seems a very sensitive complex player who has to be made to feel part of a team/group. Not getting carried away but he could become that spark from midfield we need to ignite our front line. Would start with Holman though. Downing could be playing LB and i am sure Lambert will be targeting this as a weak link.  Strangely not as pessimistic as usual of this fixture. 0-1 Weimann ........

The 77 away win at anfield (2-1 Gray x 2) is still I think the game that made me fall in love with the club. I remember sitting watching MOTD as a kid with my mom, mesmerised that we'd won there and then I had that beautiful kit for Xmas and didn't take it off until about July.
t
I went to that game. Liverpool were virtually unbeatable at home at that time.
It was great to see their mighty Kop reduced to silence.

i also went to that game as a 15 year old,
got absolutely battered outside the ground, my mate had his nose broken and was chased all over the place trying to get back to Lime street

It was a hairy place to go all right. My biggest memory of that game apart from us beating them was of being showered with fireworks, particularly bangers by their moronic fans in the ground! Segregation was virtually non-existent in the Anfield Road end.

Remember it well. I was at Liverpool Uni. at the time, and was in with the Liverpool supporters. Couldn.t celebrate until I was well clear of the ground. Remember it was a good night back at halls. Think it was the first game against them after the 5-1 thrashing as well.

Wouldn't be surprised if N'Zog started today after the impact he had on Tue.

Suarez is a good player, but world class?  Not for me.  Liverpool are nothing more than a solid top half team these days and we shouldn't go there fearing them.  I'd take a draw as I would at most premier league grounds.

If you look at Suarez's record for club and country over the last few years its hard to argue with him being world class - won major honours at the Copa America (where he was player of the tournament), key player in the World Cup squad, 1 in 2 at international level, etc etc.

Also he has been one of the best players in the league this season, if we keep him anything like quiet we'll have done a good job.

With regards to Roger's 2nd place claim, this kind of hubris normally gets exposed pretty quickly in sport - hopefully starting today.

Still think (or at least hope) we can get a point today, but worried that if we concede early and start chasing the game we could take a 3 goal beating.

Yep, as horrible as he is, Suarez is a brilliant footballer and more than capable of winning games for them. Aside from him though, I'm not convinced Liverpool are that good at all, and we should, given a good tactical set-up and whatnot, be able to get a draw up there.

If it was me in charge, I think I'd be inclined to really have a go at them, get the ball forward fast to Benteke and pressurize their back line - in fact chase them down all over the park as I have heard from a good source that up 'em, they do not like it.

You can get 9-1 with some bookies for a Villa win. Straight! Unbelievable!

Greetings from a sunny Goodison car park. I know that £10 is steep for parking but my car drives better on wheels than it does on bricks:)
