Alan Green was asked on 5 live whether there was a chance of an upset at Bradford tonight. Absolutely no chance or words to that effect he said. You were saying Mr Green? Plonker.

Get in Villa, I've got a good feeling about this competition now.

Great result and four very good finishes.  I love the way Weimann uses the pace of the ball and places it with power.  I'd like to see him start more often, especially at home.  We seem to be saving our best performances for this competition.

Chelsea only big team left in this cup.

Oh God no, not them. Maybe third time lucky for us if we do get them?
I just hate the classless bastards.

I don't want Bradford! Horrible flashbacks to Doncaster. I'd rather we had someone average, who won't have a partisan crowd when we go their place, so I'm angling for Middlesbrough.

I have horrible memories of Boro in a semi final, even if it was just the ZDS or whatever it was calling itself.

Villa v Leeds would be a great tie at VP.   Rocking.

Or a repeat of final when Savo scored!

After that performance this evening, is there anyone that, even amidst all the gloom of the league, can not see some very promising green shoots?
Risso?

A repeat of the 96 final would be good....with the same outcome of course.

In fairness according to the stats Arsenal had about 30 shots. Doesn't make it any less amusing mind.

Aston Villa striker Andreas Weimann tweets: "Buzzing. Through to semis! Fans were unbelievable tonight! Up the Villa."

Bloody brilliant, we always seem to play better when we're expected to lose. Not saying Stoke was the worst performance ever but it was pretty toothless, then tonight, we were excellent by all accounts. Are we just better suited to counter attack?

Are we really back on track? Or is this just a very welcome distraction?

Weimann must be the unluckiest bloke in the squad, he's probably the most natural goalscorer we have at the club, not sure why he was dropped.

Slightly concerned that the likes of Benteke are playing every minute of every game but hard to take him out at the moment!

Also a shame we've got Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs coming up - I guess our rollercoaster season continues! UTV!

Cheer up!
