We sound all over the place  defensively. Coincidence that Given is back?

Guzan is very commanding in the air and I think the defence seem edgy with shay.

Oh what I would give for a classic league cup semi-final at Villa Park.

Man U, Blackburn and Tranmere are all out.

Shit. 2-0 Sunderland. Felcher

relax its better that Reading and QPR get cut adrift

Do you think? I'm not so sure. Puts the pressure on us if Sunderland/Wigan start winning.

It was definitely Baker with the back header - just re-wound SSN to watch it again. Clark caught a bit flat footed not anticipating the flick on. Can't really blame Given for that one - it dropped in the 'D'.

If Holman starts weighing in with goals it could be invaluable for us.

Arsenal aren't yet- shades of 96 and Leeds in the final?

True but I was hoping for a draw and for both of them to be cast adrift. Sunderland have got a shitty fixture list after this - they play the likes of both Manchester sides, Liverpool and Tottenham.

Brilliant. Bent sounds like he's getting going, and he gets injured. His time with us is looking a little cursed.

Shame for Bent - sure he would have got a few more chances and didn't sound like he was doing anything wrong.
