In my living room the central hearing is on and I have a warm mug of tea and I'm moving no further than the kitchen/bog/radio between now and full time, not that this has any relevance whatsoever.

But those travelling to and from Carrow Road this evening for Norwich City’s Capital One cup clash against Aston Villa shouldn’t have too many problems.

Phil Garner, from Norwich-based Weatherquest, said: “It’s going to be cold this evening but it will be dry and clear all the way through the game.

“The air is just so dry at the moment that there won’t be ice or frost and the paths and pavements running up to the ground will be ok.”

He continued: “Temperatures during the game will fall close to below freezing so a good scarf, hat and thick coat are in order for those going to Carrow Road tonight. But hopefully there will be enough excitement to keep the fans warm.”

Pet hate of mine. Weather forecasters treating people like 6 years olds and telling them how to dress !

Since they took away Ceefax looking around for a decent teletext service has been  a massive ballache.
